Coronation Street Fans 'work Out' Lauren's Mystery Boyfriend - And It's Not Daniel Or Roy

Coronation Street viewers think they’ve figured out the person behind Lauren Bolton’s sudden disappearance.

Watchers of Coronation Street earlier this week saw Max Turner (played by Paddy Bever) attempting to piece together where Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) was at all times.

The teenager immediately asked Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) when he had last seen her when they began talking during the episode. Max called him out as he was explaining to Lauren why she hadn’t seen him throughout their tutoring session.

After Lauren revealed that she had seen Daniel on the 19th, he informed Max that she had obviously lied because he had not seen her. Max, however, went directly to the police because he didn’t think Daniel had anything to say.

Max confided in DS Swain that he had been feeling strange vibes from Daniel and thought he might be the secret boyfriend she was afraid of. Desperate to find out more, Max disclosed that on the 19th, the day Lauren told him she was seeing Daniel, he witnessed her being defensive.

However, many viewers believe Max is lying about Daniel in a bid to get the spotlight off of him as they think he’s the mystery boyfriend. Taking to Twitter @joy9kat said: “Wonder if Max is somehow involved and he’s blaming Daniel so they won’t bother looking into him.”

If supporters are correct, this wouldn’t be the couple’s first romantic relationship.

Max and Lauren were once together when they belonged to the extreme far-right gang led by Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron).

Nevertheless, Max had moved on to his new lover Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos) when she left the cobbles to be with her mother.

At the TV Choice Awards, soap opera star Paddy Bever talked to The Mirror on whether or not fans will see them reunited if she is discovered to be safe and well.

As he put it, “You never know.” Lauren is, in my opinion, Max’s first love, and their relationship is mutual.

Since they were each other’s first loves, a bond will always exist. As of right now, their friendship is great, and I am glad we have each other.”
