Fans of Coronation Street have been discussing an issue since it was disclosed that Colson Smith would advance to the Celebrity Big Brother finale. For a few weeks, the actor has stepped away from the cobbles to begin filming the ITV reality program relaunch, which made its first return in six years earlier this month.
Colson, who is most known for his role as Craig Tinker in the popular soap opera, joined presenter Fern Britton, Strictly Come Dancing contestant Nikita Kuzmin, and former X Factor judge Louis Walsh in entering the renowned property.
After the most recent double eviction on Tuesday, March 19, which resulted in the removal of YouTube presenter Zeze Millz and US theater sensation Marisha Wallace, it seemed nearly certain that Colson, Nikita, Louis, David Potts, and Bradley Riches would be the final four housemates.
However, at the conclusion of the live broadcast, Celebrity Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best disclosed that a shocking eviction will take place on Wednesday, March 10, in advance of Friday, March 22, the final.
Colson’s buddies, who manage his social media accounts, posted a picture of the 25-year-old’s head on Instagram after the show with the caption, “Colson Needs You!” “Colson Needs You!!” his friends captioned the post.
“You are choosing your favourite roommate to win in the public vote, which is now available! Gather around and let’s vote for Colson on the Big Brother app or itv.com! Vote for #TeamColson at https://www.itv.com/vote/cbb.”
In the meantime, a funny vote-gathering video that was shot before to his appearance on the show was uploaded to the On the Sofa podcast’s Instagram page. He co-hosts the podcast with co-stars Ben Price and Jack P Shepherd.
While many of Colson’s admirers and followers were eager to react after voting for the soap opera star, it’s important to remember that Corrie has a sizable fan base in Canada that is, regrettably, unable to cast ballots.
“Boy, if I could vote in Canada, I would vote for you Colson,” said @glenmichele. “I can’t vote, but I’m cheering you on from Canada,” wrote @mellowmoose1. “Darn! @lvlyblkbutrfly answered. I’m in Canada and I can’t vote. Thought I wouldn’t be able to, I wanted to be certain. I’m hoping he prevails!”
The user @lvlyblkbutrfly posted: “I really hope I could cast a ballot from Canada. Really, I’m hoping he wins. You guys did a fantastic job summarizing the episodes. When the three of you are back on the pod, it would be lovely.”
