GH Spoilers: Alexis Tells Molly About Her Plans, Diane Gets The Disbarment Reversed?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will tell Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) about her plans.

Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) thinks she can get Alexis’ disbarment reversed, so Alexis can go back to practicing law.

General Hospital Spoilers – Molly Lansing-Davis Is The Assistant District Attorney

It makes sense that Alexis is alerting Molly about her plans so early in the game, even though she might still be a long way from being in a courtroom.

As the assistant district attorney, Molly steps in for District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) when he is unavailable or when the court calendar is extremely full.

Mother and daughter need to come up with a process because there’s a potential they’ll find themselves in conflict in court at some point.

Since before Molly took over as the ADA, Alexis has not been in private practice; at the time of Alexis’s disbarment, she was still a law student.

Naturally, Molly is thrilled and relieved for her mother, even though Diane hasn’t quite succeeded in disbarring her yet. She’s sure she can, and once she does, they’ll be partners once more.

It takes extreme caution to avoid presenting what might be viewed as a conflict of interest in court when relatives—especially close ones—practice criminal law.

Accordingly, Molly and Alexis shouldn’t be competing with one another in court; instead, one of them could disqualify herself, in which case Molly could assign another ADA or have Alexis represent her client.

This is not as horrible, though, as there might be issues if Molly were a judge. Her mother’s client would be the subject of queries and concerns.

There might be concerns about cooperation if Molly was the judge and Alexis prevailed in the lawsuit.

That isn’t an urgent problem, though, as Diane has to get Alexis’ disbarment lifted.

General Hospital Spoilers – Talking About Current Events

But Molly and Alexis also had a brief conversation about current affairs, particularly in light of the fact that The Invader featured an article concerning Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) shooting.

In a previous series of essays on contemporary police cases, Alexis attempted—but was unsuccessful—to bring “The Hook” out of hiding.

But in this instance, Molly and Alexis are considerably closer to the victims—Dante is working with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Sam and Alexis were also linked with another target, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who is the main suspect in the case of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Molly and Alexis discuss the matter as well, and they both agree that neither of them should touch it with a ten-foot pole if Jason gets charged!
