Fans of Home and Away are divided about a potential future plot that centers on the union of two prominent characters, with some finding the unusual pairing offensive.

If you’re a devoted viewer, you’re aware that many consider Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) and Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) to be an end-game couple. However, there have been rumors for months suggesting Felicity is leaving the Bay, and Jacqui hasn’t been seen filming recently.

Though many Home and Away fans had hoped that Tane and Felicity would eventually reconcile, the two have been navigating trying to move on after their marriage ended earlier this year. A fan took a picture of Harper in June with a fictitious pregnancy tummy, in which Tane touched her bump and seemed to feel the baby kick for the first time.

Fans quickly theorized that the two’s recent night together may have resulted in a surprise baby after their passionate outing.

A new update about the pregnancy plot has been posted to a Home and Away Facebook fan page. Harper can be seen sporting the baby bump in a picture that was taken on July 1. “Apparently Harper is still filming with a baby bump but she was filming at the time in the photo below,” the caption stated.

Mixed feelings from fans were expressed in the comments, with some excited about the upcoming plot and others doubting the pairing and their immediate family.
