Home and Away’s Tristan Gorey responds to co-star’s shocking exit

Star of Home and Away Tristan Gorey opened out on how he felt about his co-star leaving.

Jacqui Purvis, an actor, left the soap opera recently after playing Felicity Newman. In the gripping episode that aired on Monday, August 12, Felicity broke down at Cash and Eden’s engagement celebration. Then, promotional materials verified the character’s tragic demise.

Gorey, who plays Levi Fowler, her coworker, expressed his sorrow over her leaving.

“It’s heartbreaking to lose a favorite cast member. I recall aiding Jacqui with her Home and Away audition,” he recalled to Yahoo Lifestyle. “So being on the show a few years later and seeing her leave, it was really upsetting.”

“But she’s onto some really incredible things, and I wish her all the best,” Gorey said.

After making his debut on Home and Away in 2021, Purvis has been playing Felicity for three years. She decided to leave the show in order to pursue a career abroad.

Before the dramatic disclosure, three significant players were in danger, thus Purvis’s exit was shrouded in mystery. Cash Newman, Felicity’s brother, and Irene Roberts were also put in potentially fatal circumstances.

Irene, inebriated and inconsolable, attempted to climb her stairs and fell horribly. It didn’t seem like anyone would be there to support her when she insisted that her loved ones leave her alone.

Cash persisted in his investigation to find the person responsible for the death of Mangrove River police officer Franklin McGrath. However, his tenacity gets him into trouble with the River Boys gang.
