Harper Matheson from Home and Away finds out she’s pregnant the following week and confides in her sister Dana.
Harper discovers in a major new plot point that she is expecting Tane Parata’s child after their recent one-night encounter.
In this week’s Channel 5 shows, Harper is shown purchasing a pregnancy test covertly.
Harper makes sure Irene Roberts is alone when she gets back to her house and then goes to the toilet to take the test.
Next week, in a follow-up scenario, Harper goes to meet Dana at the beach and informs her that she is expecting.
Since they’re not a couple and this wasn’t intended, Harper acknowledges that Tane is the father and says she’s not sure what to do yet. She continues by saying that she hopes to rely on Dana’s assistance while she works through this circumstance.
Harper eventually finds time to spend alone with Tane, but there’s no time for conversation because Perri Hayes, the new girl in Summer Bay, remains Harper’s primary attention.
Tane becomes concerned about Perri after learning that he has vanished. He worries that Perri might have returned to his violent father, who has been calling him nonstop.
Harper rapidly realizes that she won’t have a chance to convey her news that day because Tane is so preoccupied.
In the end, Harper and Tane team together to look for Perri. Recalling that Perri had previously spent the night on the beach, they begin their journey in the dunes.
Harper also gives Perri’s father a call, and while she is glad that the adolescent hasn’t returned home to a dangerous situation, it also means they aren’t any closer to locating him.
Finally, Mali Hudson discovers Perri holed up on the shore beneath a hull and invites him to return to the home.
Another interruption when Perri returns just as Harper is about to tell Tane that she is pregnant.
Tane encourages Perri to confide in him the next time instead of running away since he is worried that Perri’s dad has been threatening him.
Perri disables his father’s phone number from reaching him. His admission to Tane that he is now stuck with him marks a positive turning point.
Harper departs in the meantime, realizing she lost the opportunity to tell Tane the truth. How much longer will she remain silent?
