2. Remi returns from the dead
Meanwhile, brothers Wes and Mickey are holding a tied and gagged Eden against her will at a derelict house, along with Remi, who looks to be dead.
Mickey is informed by Wes that Remi’s body must be disposed of, but when they open the boot, they are astonished to see that he is still alive.
It doesn’t take long for Eden to realize her best buddy is gravely hurt as she races to his rescue. Eden begs Mickey to assist, thinking that if Remi doesn’t receive immediate medical attention, he may die. Mickey responds that Wes won’t let it.
3. Bree battles to save Remi
Mickey confronts Wes after his conscience tells him to, and they come to an understanding that Eden has to stay where she is while Mickey takes Remi to the hospital.
With tears in her eyes, Eden says goodbye to Remi and tucks her bracelet into his jacket pocket in the hopes that it may reveal her whereabouts.
After that, Mickey drops Remi off at the side of the road and calls for help. Bree fights to save her beloved man’s life when he is hurried to the hospital.
4. Cash and Rose rescue Eden
When Cash and Rose discover Eden’s bracelet among Remi’s belongings, they immediately assume the worst.
But when Eden hears Wes say the terrifying words, “It’s time,” it appears that there may not be much time left to save her.
Eden escapes her captors as a fight breaks out between Wes and Mickey, and Rose and Cash show there to take the two into custody.
5. Levi makes a risky move
As Bree prepares to operate on Remi, Levi intervenes and gives her the go-ahead to conduct an emergency thoracotomy.
Bree objects, saying that it’s too risky, but Levi overrides her and makes her step aside.
When Eden learns what Levi has done, she becomes extremely enraged and stressed out to the point where she passes out in the restroom.
6. Eden and Levi build bridges
When Levi learns of all Eden has endured, he is appalled and rushes to her aid.
It doesn’t take long for the two to get into another heated argument. Eden is forced to consider the situation when Cash asks her why she is unable to have some empathy for her own brother. She calls Levi to peace negotiations; will they ultimately declare a ceasefire?
7. Xander plans his fundraiser
As Xander finishes up his “Salt by the Sea” fundraiser, he asks Levi whether he would be interested in serving as the keynote speaker.
However, there isn’t much entertainment at the event because Remi is still on life support and Eden isn’t prepared to perform again.
That is, until Kirby accepts Theo’s suggestion that they play the gig as a pair.
8. Justin feels abandoned
Justin is finding it extremely difficult to follow the doctor’s instructions to stay away from Leah, and he is devastated to find that his fiancée has been in communication with Marilyn.
Justin writes out his emotions in response to Alf’s advice and asks Marilyn if she would slip his letter for Leah in with hers.
In the end, she believes that disobeying the guidelines established by Leah’s care team is impolite and she crushes Justin by turning her back on him.
9. Mac and Levi lock lips
Levi uses his charm to persuade Mac to attend Xander’s fundraiser even though she is determined that she cannot leave the hospital.
As the program opens, Mac is greatly moved by Levi’s stirring speech that he gives on stage.
The dashing cardiac surgeon replies as Mac leans in for a kiss after he walks her back to the hospital.
10. Felicity and Tane move forward
Felicity is painfully reminded of her failed marriage to Tane by the fundraiser.
The ex-couples openly discuss the agony of their divorce for the first time since they broke up, but Tane is adamant that they will never get back together.
Flick storms out, humiliated, but Tane follows her, telling her it’s no one’s fault, they just have different goals in life.
11. Tane is on the rebound
Harper is happy to learn that Tane and Felicity have reconciled the following day while they are at the beach. However, Tane misinterprets Harper’s worry for something else and tries to kiss her, which turns their training session into an unexpected adventure.
Terrified, Harper tells Tane it’s better if they avoided each other and waves down his advances.
12. Levi angers Bree – again
Bree is still standing guard beside Remi’s hospital bed, desperate for him to wake up.
Kirby joins her, and as she leads her bandmate in a moving Cook Islander spiritual song, the two ladies are thrilled to see Remi begin to regain awareness.
However, Bree is incensed to see that Levi has granted himself permission to remove Remi from critical care when she later goes back to see how he is doing. The lines of battle are drawn.
