Home and Away reveals first look at Irene Roberts’ huge new story

Irene Roberts will see unsettling scenes from Home and Away on UK television next week.

The beloved character appears to be getting into serious danger as she presents a visitor to Summer Bay with dark plans.

Cast as Bronte Langford, who is at Irene’s side when the Diner owner returns to the Bay after a brief vacation, is Stefanie Caccamo.

Irene says she recruited Bronte to the Bay as a new houseguest after meeting her in a metropolitan hospital.

Then Bronte fills in the details for Harper Matheson, revealing that Irene took pity on her and that she suffers from a severe autoimmune illness.

Irene introduces Bronte to more of her friends, and when Bronte starts exhibiting some concerning signs, her friends quickly express their concern for the newcomer.

But as soon as Bronte has a moment to herself, she phones an enigmatic acquaintance and brags about tricking Irene.

Irene is cruelly called a “total pushover” by Bronte, who also discloses that everyone in the Bay seems to be duped by her exaggerated claims of illness.

Later, after claiming to have received some shocking test results, Bronte implements the next phase of her plan.

Bronte “reveals” that she will pass away in a few months and that the doctors are at a loss on what to do. Irene pledges to support Bronte in any way she can.

Soon after, Bronte tells a falsehood about a costly experimental treatment that is still available in Canada and has the potential to save her life.

Irene, who is compassionate, assures Bronte that she will find a way to pay the expense, which is estimated to be close to $100,000.

Is Irene going to step into some deadly trap soon?
