Star of Home and Away Lynne McGranger has come under fire for her involvement in the Logie award competition this year.
The Morning Show presenter Larry Emdur and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here are among the nominees for the prestigious Gold Logie, which will be presented by the annual Australian television awards last month. presenters Robert Irwin and Julia Morris.
After the news, McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts, supported Emdur, her Channel Seven coworker, by leaving a comment on a photo he made on Instagram. In the post, Emdur disclosed a humorous text he received from a friend that read, “I’ll be voting for Robert Irwin, but congrats on the nom.”

Commenting on the post, McGranger expressed her opinions over the nomination fight, saying, “I’m sorry, but ol’ buddy Irwin has been on TV for a bloody minute!! I mean no offense.”
Upon receiving the question “Are you starting an internet feud, Lynne?” from Emdur, McGranger responded, “Could be, honey.”
Morris, the presenter of I’m a Celebrity, expressed her disappointment with McGranger’s remarks regarding Irwin to Yahoo Lifestyle after the exchange, even if she appreciated her support for Emdur.
She continued, “I totally get the sentiment of Lynne where you want to protect and fiercely fight for the person that you adore, but it’s not appropriate to call someone else out at someone else’s expense. I understand that people aren’t exposed to people from other networks very often.” Lynne is more knowledgeable than that.

Despite this, the host expressed her continued admiration for McGranger by referring to her as “a fantastic woman”.
“She’s been around the industry for a long time, she’s an incredibly talented actress, and I think her passion for wanting Larry to take it is where that comes from,” she remarked.
Irene, played by McGranger, has been a central character in a key plot line in recent weeks. She met Bronte Langford in a hospital and took the seemingly fragile newcomer into her house.
Irene has been misled into believing that Bronte has a fatal illness, but in reality, Bronte has been deceiving the good-natured Irene. This week, UK fans will witness the issue worsen due to a poisoning event that occurred at the Diner.
