EastEnders Actress Habiba Ahmed Looks Unrecognisable Years After Soap Exit

Four years have passed since actress Rukku Nahar said goodbye to Albert Square, and her appearance has changed since her time on EastEnders. From February 2019 to October 2020, the former soap star portrayed Habiba Ahmed in the BBC One soap opera.

Following the arrest and imprisonment of her partner, Jags Panesar, Habiba left Walford. Before leaving Walford, Habiba’s sister Iqra (Priya Davdra) broke the news that she was pregnant Jags’ child, and she gave birth to a boy off-screen.

Habiba has been referenced sporadically after leaving Albert Square, and her immediate family, the Masoods, has also left London.

In an effort to win over his ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal), Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) decided to contact her about visiting his grandson in recent weeks, referencing her character.

Although Habiba and her son’s visit to Walford is mentioned, it is not expected that the character would return to EastEnders anytime soon. After leaving the soap opera, 28-year-old actress Rukku appeared in the BBC series Flatmates and the ITV series The Good Karma Hospital.

She also starred in the 2021 short film Blame and the 2023 movie The Buckingham Hospital as Harleen. According to the Manchester Evening News, the actress has amassed a sizable social media following since departing EastEnders, and she currently has over 60,000 Instagram followers.

Rukku’s Instagram is a veritable gold mine of glamorous photos of her having a great time in London with her loved ones, including everything from crazy nights out to picnics in the sun. She appears to be a frequent traveler, taking lavish vacations and maintaining a close relationship with her former on-screen sister Priya.

When her final scenes aired in October 2020, the actress waved goodbye to EastEnders without any fanfare. She revealed her departure on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the BBC serial opera for teaching her “so much” and expressing gratitude for the friendships she had formed while portraying Habiba.

After her child Tye unexpectedly showed up to visit his grandparents Suki and Nish, despite having a difficult relationship with his mother, EastEnders viewers are now demanding that Habiba come to Walford. There have been a lot of comments on social media asking, “Where is Habiba? “The grandson arrived by himself?”

“Tye has returned to Walford. One observer bemoaned, “I wish Habiba had returned with him.” Another person commented: “Tye and Suki are adorable. It is regrettable that Habiba did not return to Walford.
