Next week, Home and Away will include troubling scenes for Cash Newman on UK television.
When the mourning police officer becomes fixated on getting in touch with a receiver of his late sister Felicity’s organs, it causes his loved ones to become concerned.
Cash consented earlier this month to donate Felicity’s organs in order to save other people’s lives. This week, in heartbreaking scenes, Cash gets a letter telling him that Felicity allowed five other people to survive.
After receiving Felicity’s heart, one of the recipients thanks her family in a follow-up letter.
Cash wants to learn more about this individual, but John Palmer warns him that he cannot get too close because of the stringent anonymity regulations.
Next week’s follow-up scenes show Cash’s refusal to accept this and his request for a dangerous favor from his former police colleague Rose Delaney.
Cash begs her to start a fictitious inquiry and get the important information since he acknowledges that he wants to know who sent the letter.
Rose flatly declines, demonstrating that she is unwilling to disobey the law in order to assist Cash.
As a last option, Cash begins looking for information about the woman who received Felicity’s heart and lungs on online forums.
When Cash sees articles on the internet from a woman who got a heart and lungs just 14 hours after Felicity’s life support was removed, he is happy. He is eager to learn more because the timings are ideal.
When Cash enthusiastically shares this with Tane Parata, he expresses disappointment that his pal doesn’t agree.
In retaliation, Cash snaps that Tane seemed to have moved on from Felicity’s passing rather swiftly. Tane is unwilling to forgive him for speaking out of turn, so even if he quickly apologizes for the harsh remark, it’s too late.
Afterwards, an unfazed Cash informs John that he has spoken with the woman directly and intends to meet her.
John worries that Cash is obviously not in a good place and has violated the anonymity rule. Is there anyone who can stop him before his plans fail?
