The teaser, which was shown after Thursday’s program in Australia, caught fans off guard because it seemed to indicate that one of the six major characters would be permanently leaving Summer Bay the following week.
The voiceover in the promo told us, “A loved friend will leave the bay next week.”
The promo featured stylized images of several of our favorite characters, including Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), Xander (Luke Van Os), Kirby (Angelina Thomson), Dana (Ally Harris), and Theo (Matt Evans).
A brief scene of Kirby and Bree (Juliet Godwin) strolling together on the beach follows.
Theo is seen strolling through the grassy area close to the ocean with his latest crush, Abigail (played by Hailey Pinto).
Next, Kirby and Mali (Kyle Shilling) sit on the sand.
Dana appears thoughtful.
In her automobile, Eden was upset.
At last, Tane was staring down with a dejected expression.
However, who of the six is set to depart?
Two members of the Home and Away cast are rumored to have left the show, as we disclosed earlier this month.
It now appears likely that one of the exits, Xander Delaney, will be aired next week, even though we weren’t expecting either to say farewell until next year.
Fans have been speculating that actor Luke Van Os left Palm Beach at the end of his three-year contract because he hasn’t been spotted filming there in several months.
The majority of the cast has since returned to the set to start filming, although many took advantage of a recent break to travel.
However, Luke Van Os still seems to be overseas. According to recent Instagram stories, he has been traveling throughout South America for the past few months and is currently on San Andrés, a coral island in the Caribbean Sea.
He most certainly filmed his last scenes months ago, thus he’ll probably be the character bidding farewell next week.
Xander first appeared on television in episode 7759, which aired on Australian television on March 31, 2022.
He has stated in recent months that he wants to launch his own company. He was devastated when Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) agreed to give Mackenzie (Emily Weir) complete control of Salt, as he had originally wanted to purchase Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) portion of the company.
Will he choose to relocate from Summer Bay to the metropolis in search of better business opportunities? Or will he realize it’s time to move on after a falling out with girlfriend Dana?
According to next week’s teaser spoilers, “Xander is conflicted” and “Dana lets go” in the episode airing on Wednesday.
In the upcoming months, Xander won’t be the only beloved character saying goodbye.
It appears that Rose (Kirsty Marillier), Xander’s sister, will also be leaving Summer Bay in the new year.
Belinda Sinclair, a fan of the program, saw Kirsty Marillier filming what seemed to be Rose’s farewell scene on October 9th, just a few weeks ago. She shared the footage on the Home and Away Spoilers & Info Facebook group.
In the scene, Rose was driving out of the bay when she was approached by Irene (Lynne McGranger), Kirby (Angelina Thomson), and Bree (Juliet Godwin), who forced her to halt.
Irene was heard saying, “There you go, love,” as she gave Rose a parting gift when she got out of the car.
After giving each of the three a hug, Rose got back in the car and drove away from the bay.
When Kirby yells, “Go get ’em, Detective!” the others applaud. They yell, “We love you, drive safely,” as Rose leaves.
Remi (played by Adam Rowland) approaches her farewell party from behind as Rose drives off, waves goodbye one last time and yells, “See ya, Rose.”
Could Rose go to the city to pursue her dreams if she were promoted to Detective? Rose is currently employed at the Yabbie Creek Police Station as a Senior Constable.
In the episode 7760 that aired on Australian television on April 4, 2022, Rose arrived in Summer Bay one episode later than her brother Xander.
