Jodie continues to make demands
Warning: This article contains Coronation Street spoilers about Jodie Ramsay’s shooting. The episode has not yet aired on television but is available to stream on ITVX and YouTube.
Jodie’s fate was left uncertain in the previous episode on October 8, following a confrontation with Shona that ended in a shooting. Shona had assumed the gun was fake and pulled the trigger by accident, only to realise that it was real, leaving Jodie injured on the ground.
Tonight’s episode continued from where the previous drama ended, as David and Shona desperately tried to get Jodie medical assistance while attempting to hide their involvement. However, just when they thought they might have managed to get out of trouble, Jodie threatened to turn the situation against them.

Jodie’s fate confirmed as David and Shona face a fresh threat
Jodie was taken to hospital in tonight’s episode, but David realised he had to dispose of the gun before the police arrived. He was worried that Shona could face serious trouble if officers discovered the weapon.
When DS Swain arrived to investigate the incident, David claimed that he and Shona had been outside the house when they heard the gunshot. He maintained that nobody else was present when they went inside. However, Lisa remained suspicious, especially as their explanation suggested that the person responsible for the shooting might still be at large on the cobbles.
David and Shona reached the hospital before the investigators and discovered that Jodie had survived the shooting. David then confessed to his wife that he had thrown the gun into the canal.
While the couple were relieved to learn that Jodie was alive, another problem soon emerged. Would she keep their involvement a secret, or reveal the truth to the police?
When David and Shona visited Jodie, she made it clear that she could tell the police Shona was the one who shot her. David tried to defend himself, arguing that without the gun, the situation would come down to her word against theirs.
Their conversation was interrupted when Lisa arrived to take Jodie’s statement. She asked David and Shona to leave the room, and Jodie announced that she was ready to speak.
But what will Jodie reveal to the police?

Coronation Street viewers ‘fed up’ with ‘predictable’ storyline outcome
The latest developments in the shooting storyline have left Coronation Street fans frustrated. Although Jodie surviving the incident was not necessarily what upset viewers, many were annoyed that David and Shona seemed reluctant to come clean about what happened. As a result, fans fear Jodie could once again avoid facing the consequences of her actions.
Taking to Reddit, one viewer criticised the episode, writing: “What a ludicrous episode yet again. Surely Shona and David telling the truth would’ve been a lot more credible and believable. They had nothing to lose by telling the truth. Bonkers.”
Another fan predicted that Jodie would continue causing trouble, commenting: “Now, we’re going to watch Jodie lurking around the Platt’s house and blackmailing them for another year.”
A third viewer shared their frustration, saying: “It was so predictable. I’m getting so bored of the whole thing. Obviously Jodie survived and obviously nobody could tell the truth. Guess she’ll just use it to stick around.”
Meanwhile, a fourth fan expressed similar disappointment, adding: “Yeah, it’s so frustrating. They’ve given Jodie all the power once again.”
