General Hospital spoilers and updates suggest that the observant Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) may already have figured out that something about Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) does not quite add up. Could Stella decide to investigate Monet’s background herself and discover whether she is truly the person she claims to be?
Jordan Knows Monet Is Her Younger Half-Sister, But She’s Away
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) knows Monet’s identity, understands their family connection, and is aware that Monet has returned to Port Charles. She even shared this information with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
However, Jordan did not mention Monet when speaking with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Shortly afterward, she left for Baden-Baden with Michael after Curtis agreed to undergo the procedure.
Interestingly, Monet was meeting with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) around the same time when she received a mysterious phone call.
Chase also received a separate call that had nothing to do with his meeting with Monet, prompting him to leave. Monet then took the opportunity to visit Curtis in his room at General Hospital. By that point, Jordan had already departed, leaving Curtis without a chance to ask her about Monet and their family connection.
Stella arrived while Curtis was there, following his decision to dismiss Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) as his lawyer and accept Monet’s offer to handle his appeal. However, neither Curtis nor Stella appears ready to trust Monet completely.
Curtis Has Experience as a Cop and Private Investigator, but Stella Has Her Own Skills!
Curtis has previously worked as both a police officer and a private investigator, so he understands how to recognize suspicious behaviour. Nevertheless, Stella has her own investigative instincts. She can be extremely inquisitive, and when something seems questionable, she is not the type to ignore it.
Curtis already suspects that Monet has an ulterior motive, and he has questioned her about it. Yet Monet did not reveal her relationship with Jordan until after he agreed to accept her offer to represent him.
Curtis might share this detail with Stella, especially since Monet disclosed the family connection only after securing the opportunity to handle his appeal.
Although Curtis may be tempted to investigate Monet himself, he might not be in a position to do so right now. Monet claims to be the newest attorney at Miller and Davis, but no one from the firm has apparently mentioned her.
That inconsistency could make Stella even more suspicious. She may decide to dig into Monet’s background to determine whether her professional identity and personal history match the story she has presented.
