Bethany Platt is left horrified after discovering she is pregnant in Coronation Street.
Coronation Street fans believe they have worked out who Bethany Platt’s baby father could be following the shocking revelation that she is pregnant. Bethany first appeared on the ITV soap as a baby, the daughter of Sarah Platt, played by Tina O’Brien. Now portrayed by Lucy Fallon, Bethany has been at the centre of several major storylines over the years.
From being groomed to undergoing botched surgery, Bethany’s life in Weatherfield has been filled with drama. Things have become even more difficult in recent months after her mother, Sarah, was sent to prison for the murder of Theo Silverton, played by James Cartwright.
Since Sarah’s imprisonment, Bethany has been keeping things together at home and caring for Sarah’s son, Harry. She has also been living with Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, who was previously in a relationship with Sarah before she ended things with him while behind bars.
However, things took an unexpected turn when Bethany and Kit, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer, ended up sleeping together. Feeling guilty about what had happened, the pair agreed to keep their encounter a secret and vowed that nobody would ever find out.
Unfortunately, their secret was discovered by Jodie Ramsay, played by Olivia Frances Brown. The troublemaker recorded a conversation between Bethany and Kit before using the information to blackmail Bethany, leaving her terrified and unsure of what to do next.
However, Jodie has now left Weatherfield following last week’s dramatic gun showdown. Since her departure, things have become increasingly uncomfortable between Kit and Bethany.
Meanwhile, Bethany has started a romantic relationship with Ryan Connor, played by Ryan Prescott, and everything appears to be going smoothly between them. However, Tuesday’s episode, which aired on October 13, delivered a major pregnancy twist involving Bethany.
Earlier that day, Bethany and Kit had a heated argument after she told Sarah about his cancer diagnosis. Furious over her decision, Kit stormed out. Shortly afterwards, Bethany came out of the bathroom and was shown taking a pregnancy test, anxiously waiting to discover the result.
It was then revealed that Bethany was indeed pregnant, leaving her horrified and in tears. Following the shocking revelation, fans are now convinced they have worked out who the father of her baby could be.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer commented: “We all predicted Bethany was going to be pregnant, but who is the dad?”
Another fan wrote: “Kit 100%.”
A third agreed, saying: “Yes, I can see that happening.”
Someone else added: “I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Kit turns out to be the father of Bethany’s baby.”
