As Coronation Street’s Bobby reports Lauren missing, top fan theories on what’s happened

After reporting Lauren Bolton missing, Bobby is disturbed and speaks with the police about her disappearance in tonight’s Coronation Street episode (Monday, March 11).

Lauren was brought in as a used, mistreated, and duped member of Griff’s racist gang, and she hasn’t had an easy life since. Despite being able to break free from Griff’s control and even landing a job at the café, she is still very much in danger.

It was discovered that Lauren has an unidentified partner who has been giving her extravagant presents and floral arrangements. And now, concerningly, it appears that she has vanished — just a week after Bobby found multiple bruises on her body.

Coronation Street: Lauren sparks worry following sudden exit

Lauren vanished from the picture right away after Roy terminated her for rummaging into Bethany’s suitcase. Bobby visited her and saw the apartment unoccupied and unsecured.

Bobby visited Craig at the police station while he was worried. Craig dutifully promised to look into it.

In tonight’s Corrie episode, Sean notices blood on the drapes when he looks around Lauren’s apartment.

After reporting this discovery to the police, Carla and Bobby discuss Bobby’s concerns about Roy’s possible involvement.

Then, according to tonight’s spoilers, DS Swain and Craig confront Roy regarding Lauren’s abduction.

But Lauren, where are you? In the midst of the current plot, several fans have revealed their theories on X. See them all down below.

Kidnapped!

One fan speculated, “Door unlocked, bacon sandwich left untouched Lauren’s been kidnapped I think,” based on concerns about Lauren’s apartment’s condition.

Another person said, “Reckon Lauren’s dodgy mystery man has taken her,” in reference to the man who has been sending Lauren extravagant presents and flower bouquets lately.

Another person said, “Has Lauren been kidnapped by the boyfriend?”

It appears that this is the accepted theory. What about Lauren’s mystery boyfriend, though?

Joel Deering

It was recently revealed to fans that Joel, Dee-Dee’s guy, isn’t who he says he is—hiding a secret wife from Dee-Dee. Some, though, believe he may be hiding an even more sinister secret.

“On Corrie, Joel is definitely the one bleeping the heck out of Lauren.” A second marriage affair? Lauren disappearing immediately once he’s rumbled? One fan joked, “Call me Jessica Fletcher because I think I got him beat.”

Tommy Orpington

Others, meanwhile, have questioned if Tommy Orpington might be to blame for Lauren’s abrupt departure.

“The clogs are rotating. What happens if Tommy starts chasing Lauren? He was listed as receiving flowers, and Lauren surprises everyone by giving her a large arrangement. Why bring him back in all of a sudden? I doubt it was solely for the romantic plot,” a perceptive audience member proposed.

Nathan Curtis or Neil Clifton

In the meantime, there’s a chance that Bethany Platt’s personal history has anything to do with Lauren’s disappearance. in particular, the heads of the sex trade, Neil Clifton and Nathan Curtis.

“I really think that Bethany revealing Lauren’s true boyfriend’s identity will be the major, long-running Coronation Street plotline. Neil Clifton or Nathan Curtis. Bobby is going to be worried because he noticed bruising on her arm. This will reference Bethany’s past,” an admirer remarked.

Roy’s in trouble

In any event, this might be problematic for Roy, who was the last person to see Lauren and who had a history with the teenager from when she confusedly approached him.

Additionally, he was just observed tidying Lauren’s apartment, which made Bobby suspicious.

This admirer stated, “I believe Roy will be accused of abducting Lauren or that she staged her own disappearance.”

Where do you suppose Lauren vanished to?
