Coronation Street Viewers Spot Major Blunder Following Peter Barlow's Arrest

As Peter Barlow was being questioned by the police following the murder of Stephen Reid, Coronation Street viewers immediately pointed out a mistake.
Viewers of Coronation Street caught a significant error as Peter Barlow (played by Chris Gascoyne) dealt with the fallout from his actions.

ITV soap opera viewers last week saw the end of the killer Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) reign of terror after an epic showdown.

Stephen (Sally Ann Matthews) held Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) hostage, threatening to harm her if he wasn’t stopped, as he was cornered by the Weatherfield residents as he made one last desperate attempt to flee.

Nevertheless, Stephen was struck and killed by Peter after he saw what was happening and intervened to save Jenny’s life.

On Tuesday’s episode, viewers saw Peter being interrogated by the police after Stephen passed away and being charged with his murder.

In the interview room, fans saw Peter try to defend his actions, although they were taken aback when they spotted PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).

It wasn’t long before people pointed out that the Weatherfield copper shouldn’t be in the room with Peter as they both know each other well.

Soap star Chris Gascoyne touched on how Peter feels now that he’s being questioned by the police on suspicion of murder.

Chris said: “He is shocked that he is being arrested and questioned for murder, as the week starts he is certain that he saved Jenny’s life and he can’t understand why he is being asked about his motivation for running him over.

“At this point that is his frame of mind and he is still feeling a certain amount of justification for what he did.
