Corrie fans share expert calculation that ‘proves’ where missing Lauren is

Coronation Street fans have had their eyes peeled for a certain character’s release date, and now they think they’ve worked out just who kidnapped or even killed Lauren Bolton

After releasing a professional calculation that “proves” the identity of Lauren Bolton’s abductor, Coronation Street viewers believe they know precisely what happened to her.

Bloodstains were discovered at Lauren’s apartment, and Roy Cropper and Daniel Osbourne were brought in by the police to be questioned. Lauren went missing in February on the ITV cobbles. Despite there being no corpse located, the case has evolved into a murder probe. Fans, however, have an entirely different theory.

Some believe that Nathan Curtis, the abuser of Bethany Platt, would have been let out of jail for good behavior and began training Lauren to do the same thing he would have to do to Bethany: sell her to foreign countries as a sex slave. In 2017, Nathan and his accomplices were convicted of both rape and conspiracy to commit rape. The typical prison term for rape is between four and 19 years.

Although the length of Nathan’s sentence for his crimes was never stated on the show, people found guilty typically serve about ten years. Nathan might have been released in 2022 if he had been halved for good behavior, which would have given him plenty of time to woo Lauren as her “boyfriend.”

One of the fans posted on X, sharing their opinions, saying, “I think Nathan Curtis had something to do with it? Based on his exemplary behavior, I assume he was released from prison at the end of the previous year, having completed half of his sentence.

Another said, “Yeah, pretty obvious, which is why Bethany is back.” “Is it the evil Nathan who has got Lauren?” inquired a second enthusiast. There must be a reason why Bethany’s ex-girlfriend is returning.

A perceptive admirer asked when Nathan was expected to be released from jail. He’s probably Lauren’s covert boyfriend, in my opinion. Another admirer concurred, saying, “I never considered that. By now, he should be roughly halfway through his sentence, so perhaps good behavior would allow him to be released.

Actor Chris Harper wrapped up filming his final Call the Midwife episodes in 2023, so it looks like he has a lot of time on his hands for a Corrie comeback. Since leaving the cobbles, he has starred in other Doctor Who spin-off podcasts as well as Doctors.

It happens after Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren, reportedly “confirmed” on Instagram that her character has died, or at least left the show, with her bio now reading, “Previously Lauren in @CoronationStreet.”

Speaking to The Sun at the TV Choice Awards, Cait hinted that the plot would take “months” to complete. “There’s a lot going on with her [Lauren], and I love playing her,” she said in her explanation. In 2024, Lauren has a lot in store.

“I can’t reveal too much about the boyfriend situation, but it may develop over the course of the following year. Although the plot is difficult, Coronation Street typically delivers powerful moments, so I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
