Corrie icon Roy’s downfall ‘sealed’ after arrest as actor admits ‘it’s going to get worse’

Corrie legend Roy Cropper ends up getting arrested for Lauren Bolton’s murder this week – but the actor has now teased that things are going to take an even more dramatic turn

After Roy Cropper is arrested for murder, David Neilson of Coronation Street has acknowledged that “it’s going to get worse” for him.

Being on the soap opera scene since 1995, the soap opera legend will be the main suspect in Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance. Supporters will remember that the unsettling child vanished last month, with Roy being the last person to have seen her alive.

Bobby, Lauren’s friend, became worried about her whereabouts and reported her missing to the police after discovering Lauren’s apartment unoccupied and in a disarray. In addition, Roy (David Neilson) is informed that Evelyn will be held accountable for the condition the apartment has been left in during Friday’s episode (March 8) as a result of Lauren going missing.

After that, he went to see Allison King’s character Carla Connor to inform her that he believed Roy could have something to do with Lauren’s disappearance. In a stunning turn of events, soap opera spoilers indicate that Roy is arrested the next week after authorities suspect Lauren’s murder.

After blood is discovered at her apartment, Roy is detained for her murder due to his suspicious behavior. Actor David has now hinted that the beloved character’s situation may “get worse.”

Online trolls harass Roy after word spreads of his imprisonment and suspected role in Lauren’s murder. Carla then displays the offensive remarks to Roy since she thinks he should be aware of what is being said.

Furthermore, Roy freely acknowledges that Lauren has approached him before when he is questioned about her by the police a second time later in the week. David responded, “Obviously this is the issue but his truthfulness is something I’ve always tried to establish,” when questioned if being honest could backfire on him.

This is due to the fact that his brain is incapable of handling ambiguity or deceit. Therefore, it will be simpler if he is aware of what he believes to be good and bad.

Roy is “sort of on the ropes” with the whole thing, David continued. He gave an explanation, saying, “He can’t do anything otherwise; he keeps doing what he believes is right.

That’s the issue right now. I believe he would, if he could. He is not like that, despite what everyone else around him is telling him to do—behave like others and become more of what they would consider “normal.” That cannot be how he is. He joked, hinting that Roy’s circumstances might be about to take a drastic turn: “Otherwise he wouldn’t be in this situation and it is only going to get worse.”
