EastEnders’ Habiba Ahmed actress looks different four years after BBC soap exit

After leaving Albert Square four years ago, EastEnders star Rukku Nahar is hardly recognizable from her time on the serial opera. From February 2019 to October 2020, the former soap opera star portrayed Habiba Ahmed in the drama on BBC One.

After her boyfriend Jags Panesar was arrested and imprisoned, Habiba left Walford. Before leaving Walford, Habiba’s sister Iqra (Priya Davdra) broke the news that she was pregnant Jags’ child, and she gave birth to a boy off-screen.

Habiba has not received much attention since leaving Albert Square, and her immediate family, the Masoods, no longer calls Albert Square home. However, in an effort to win back his ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal), Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) has brought up her reputation in recent weeks when he chose to contact her about meeting his grandson.

It doesn’t appear that Habiba will be returning to EastEnders very soon, even though her name was mentioned and her son traveled to Walford.

After leaving the soap opera, 28-year-old actress Rukku went on to star in the BBC series Flatmates and the ITV series The Good Karma Hospital.

According to Manchester Evening News, she also starred in the 2021 short film Blame and the 2023 movie The Buckingham Hospital as Harleen. The actress has amassed a sizable social media following since departing EastEnders, and she currently has over 60,000 Instagram followers.

On her Instagram, Rukku Nahar posts pictures of her life in London, including sunny picnics and exciting evenings spent with her friends. She continues to be close to her former on-screen sister Priya and appears to travel frequently, taking vacations.

The actress’s exit from the venerable EastEnders was not made public until October 2020, when her final scenes were shown. Rukku announced her departure on Instagram, thanking everyone for the “so much” she learnt and the relationships she developed while playing Habiba.

After her son Tye made an unexpected appearance and visited his grandparents Suki and Nish despite their past conflicts, devoted EastEnders viewers have been demanding Habiba’s return to the Square. Social media has being used by fans to express their questions and wishes. One fan wrote: “Where’s Habiba? The grandchild arrived by himself?

Others who commented, “Tye is back in Walford,” echoed the sentiment. Another fan bemoaned, “Suki and Tye are so cute,” and said, “I wish Habiba came back with him.” It is regrettable that Habiba did not return to Walford.
