Fans of Emmerdale have recently witnessed Tom King suffer two assaults as a result of his presence stirring up trouble in the village.
Belle Dingle and Tom King, who are portrayed by Eden Taylor-Draper and James Chase, appear to be escaping the community in Emmerdale.
The ex-bad boy returned to the ITV soap earlier this year after a 10-year absence with the intention of rekindling his romance with Belle.
Though Tom’s erratic attitude toward their relationship has left viewers perplexed, the pair was back together not long after that.
However, he recently disclosed that he would be able to use the insurance proceeds from his stolen car to help them put a down payment on a house.
At the beginning of the month, two unidentified men stole Tom’s car and then attacked him when he went back home to get his vet bag.
Although Belle admitted that she didn’t want to leave her father when she heard of his offer, she was incredibly nervous about the idea of moving in with her boyfriend.
Tom pretended to be okay with her choice, but it was obvious that something bothered him, so he made the decision to go to the pub that night.
But when he provoked Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), things only got worse. Anderson ended up hitting the bar top with his head in a fit of rage.
According to official spoilers, Tom and Belle decide on their future, suggesting that the violence may be becoming too much for them.
In scenes that will be broadcast the following week, the couple shares a tender moment as they get ready to begin their new life together.
Could they be permanently evacuating the village to avoid the assaults? Or does Tom have other ideas?
Since Tom’s return, it’s safe to say that viewers have lost faith in him because they believe Belle’s life may be in danger.
Others predict he’ll follow in the footsteps of his father Carl King (Tom Lister), with some suspecting he’s hiding something from her.
