Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) made her first appearance on the show exactly three years ago, on 19th August 2021, and today saw her time in Summer Bay came to a tragic end after her brother Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) agreed to switch off the life support machine, which has been keeping her alive since she was rushed to hospital last week.
For a comprehensive overview of Felicity’s three years in Summer Bay, continue reading.

A mere week prior, viewers in Australia witnessed Cash and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) commemorate their engagement, while Felicity, Remi (Adam Rowland), and Xander (Luke Van Os) meticulously planned an unexpected celebration on the shores of Salt.
Felicity and her ex-husband Tane (Ethan Browne) flirted and danced for most of the afternoon, and when Tane seemed to be enjoying the attention from his ex-partner, there seemed to be a possibility that they could fall back in love and resume their relationship.

Their intimacy quickly attracted the notice of Dana (Ally Harris), whose sister Harper (Jessica Redmayne) had a one-night stand and is now secretly expecting Tane’s child.
Xander informed her he didn’t think they had ever stopped loving each other when she pressed him about whether he felt they may reconcile.
Tane accepted Felicity’s invitation to one more dance as the celebration came to an end and the remaining guests made their way upstairs to Salt. But before they could act, Flick started to experience blurred vision.
In the closing minutes of last Monday’s program, she felt a great ache and lifted her hand to her head before falling to the ground.

After being taken to the hospital in an ambulance, Bree (Juliet Godwin), upon realizing that her eyes were not responding to light, immediately arranged for brain and artery imaging.
Bree quickly realized that Felicity had experienced a cerebral aneurysm. After being taken directly to surgery to have the aneurysm clipped in order to stop the bleeding, Bree was forced to tell Cash and Tane that Flick might have had irreversible brain damage even though she lived.
The outcome was ultimately much more catastrophic. Felicity experienced a recurrent bleed soon after the first operation, despite the fact that it stopped the bleeding successfully.

Bree was astonished when there was no reflex movement as Levi entered her room and ran his pen up Felicity’s foot while she was scrambling to attempt to stabilize her.
Felicity did not respond, indicating that her brain activity had stopped, which was quickly verified by a number of neurological tests.
When Cash heard the news, he was inconsolable. He insisted that Bree and Levi retake the tests, and he wouldn’t leave Felicity’s side until they had.

In today’s episode, Cash finally came to terms with the reality and made the heartbreaking decision to turn off his sister’s life support. As he lay sobbing by her side, he told Tane that he wasn’t ready, but Tane put his arm around his shoulder and told him: “I know. But it’s time.” When Bree asked Cash and Tane whether Felicity had ever considered organ donation, Cash realized that Felicity’s death could help someone else live, and he agreed to Bree’s suggestion.
As Felicity was wheeled into surgery, hospital staff from all around Northern Districts crowded the hallway.
That’s when the people in Summer Bay started to cry. Eden said Remi, “I can’t believe she’s gone,” and started crying. I will not see her ever again.

Cash said to his sister in private one last time, “You’re back with mum and dad now, just like you always wanted,” before sobbing. This happened after Felicity’s body was returned. “Good night, little sister.”
Felicity made her first appearance on the show exactly three years ago today, on August 19, 2021. Brother Cash had already arrived in town two months prior, as the newest Senior Constable drafted in at Yabbie Creek police station. In the closing moments of the episode, Tane also broke down in the farmhouse garden, only days after admitting that he still loved her.

They had received an eviction notice because of Flick’s controversial behavior and loud music, which Cash discovered when he returned to their rented home and saw him fighting with a neighbor.
Tane and Flick first crossed paths while she was employed at a pub. Tane was astonished to learn her brother’s identity the following morning after they had spent the night together. Cash made arrangements for the Newmans to stay at the RV park after they were promptly ejected from the residence and their possessions were left strewn over the driveway.

Flick was soon making her presence known, and gatecrashed Cash’s date with Jasmine (Sam Frost) in order to introduce herself. Jasmine was thrown when Flick told her that her and Cash’s father had been murdered, but Cash soon filled Jasmine in on what had really happened.
Cash, Flick, and their parents Anthony and Jennifer had grown up in the country. Anthony was left as the only father to manage the property after Jennifer passed away when the children were still small. When the farm was severely damaged by a drought in 2006, Anthony took his own life, leaving Cash at the age of 12 and Flick at just 9.

Although the Newman children were fortunate enough to be raised by close family friends Gary (Peter Phelps) and Katherine Morrow, Flick had never accepted their father’s decision to leave them, preferring to think he had been slain.
Flick never saw Gary and Katherine as her parents, despite their unwavering love for her, and she fled the house as soon as she was old enough to.

The relationship between Tane and Flick soured as a result of Tane cooling things up with her and accusing her of stalking him. Tane began to receive roses. As things became worse, Cash filed an AVO on Tane’s behalf on behalf of Flick, only to discover that she was the main suspect after Tane was drugged and declared dead in a chemical attack.
Flick abruptly vanished just as the police were about to arrest her based on evidence they had discovered in her van. Later on, it came to light that she had actually been abducted by her friend and coworker Anne (Megan Smart), who had attacked Tane out of jealousy that he had not paid her any attention when they were at the pub.

Following their mutual experience of being abducted, Flick and Tane reconciled and resumed their relationship. Flick turned down Cash’s yearly invitation to celebrate their father’s death anniversary because she didn’t want to travel to their hometown and be surrounded by people who still think their father committed suicide.
When Cash returned, he showed Flick Anthony’s autopsy report, which she found hard to look at but ultimately allowed her to accept the truth about his passing.

When Tane said he could imagine them being together, Flick was shocked. She later clarified that she had never thought of herself as the kind of person who would settle down.
Tane reassured her that having children wasn’t a deal-breaker and they would take things as they came, despite her warning him that she couldn’t guarantee she’d ever want to do so.
Flick discovered that Salt was having severe financial problems when Mackenzie tried to fire her from her position there. She proposed that Mac host an illicit poker night after work, as she had done at her former job in the city.

Even though the night was a big success, Mac’s intention to host more failed when PK (Ryan Johnson), a dishonest player, took advantage of her lack of poker knowledge and claimed that the house owed him money.
When Tane was attacked by two of PK’s goons who had been ordered to damage the restaurant, Flick was horrified. She was also one of the numerous people questioned when PK was found dead.

When the truth about the poker nights surfaced, Cash was compelled to arrest Flick; however, Mac covered for her by informing the authorities that Flick believed they had the necessary licenses.
after Flick found out that Mac intended to give the restaurant to her if she was jailed, she grew alarmed. However, after Mac was released from prison on a good behavior bond, Flick offered to use her inheritance to purchase Salt and join as an equal partner, which resolved the debt problem.

After Tane was stabbed, Flick had stayed at the Parata residence to take care of him. She was shocked when he requested her to live in permanently. Later, after they paid her an unexpected visit, she invited her old Lyrik pals Bob (Rob Mallett), Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), Kirby (Angelina Thomson), and Remi (Adam Rowland) to Summer Bay and set about planning an event in Salt for the restaurant’s reopening.
Apart from Bob, who was quickly succeeded as lead vocalist by Theo (Matt Evans), the band continued to perform regularly.

Following Cash’s shooting as part of an investigation into a local biker gang, Flick helped him by getting him to move into the spare room at the Parata residence, reuniting the siblings.
Flick had to take a moment to collect herself as Tane asked her to marry him at the lighthouse. She said yes, but later confided in Cash that she had felt compelled to do so with all her friends there to see it.

After resolving her problems, Flick consented to marry a few weeks later, but she was shocked to learn that Cash had invited foster father Gary to the bay in the hopes that they may reconcile.
Feeling guilty of her treatment of Gary and Katherine, Flick had avoided talking to him since moving out of her house, but she was now able to mend her relationship with him.

Following some last-minute anxiety, Flick was eager to go for her wedding with Eden. However, after the biker gang tampered with the ute in an attempt to exact revenge on Cash, Flick found herself in a terrible automobile accident.
After the automobile crashed into a gas station, Tane pulled Flick from the blazing wreckage, but Eden was in a coma and Tane was left traumatized.
In the weeks that followed, Flick lost her mind, started abusing alcohol, and informed Tane that she was no longer interested in getting married.

Flick left town after being found driving under the influence and ended up hitchhiking to Gary’s property.
She was eventually able to put part of her traumatic past behind her when Gary took her to see her parents’ graves when she was there.

Jeremy had threatened to leak the footage if Flick hadn’t paid up, but he kept pressing for more money after Flick gave him over $10,000.
By setting up a trap for Jeremy and marking the spot where the next money drop would occur, Flick managed to get pictures of him that Cash could use to apprehend him right away.

Later, when Tane brought up the subject of children, Felicity became alarmed and reminded him of her earlier declaration that she had never wanted children. Like with marriage, Tane had hoped that she may change her mind, but Flick told him it was not likely to happen.
Flick saw that despite Tane’s assurances, he was having difficulty accepting the fact that he would not become a parent while they were married. She told him that she would like to try for a kid with him after all, out of concern for their future.
Flick did not stop taking her contraceptive pill, though. Flick said she simply needed a little more time to process the notion of parenting when Mac found out about her hidden stash.

Tane’s marriage to Flick ended abruptly after she discovered her deceit shortly after.
After witnessing Tane’s relapse into one-night stands and feeling envious of his developing friendship with Harper (Jessica Redmayne), Flick eventually appeared to come to terms with the loss of their romance.

After having a one-night fling with Marshall (Nic English), a Salt client, Flick was shocked to learn the following morning that Marshall was Tane’s attorney, defending him after he kidnapped Poppy.
Tane accused Flick of meddling in his life once more after Tane and Harper banded together to attempt to persuade Tane to speak with his lawyer in the first place.

Later, when Rory (Joshua Orpin) came to town, Flick was swept off her feet and the two started a passionate romance right away. When Cash learned that Rory was the head of the infamous River Boy gang from Mangrove River, where he had recently started a new job as Senior Constable following the murder of the previous one, Franklin McGrath, he became extremely worried.
The River Boys, including Rory and his sidekick Dingo (JK Kazzi), were the main suspects, and Cash pleaded with Flick to put an end to this right away.

After hearing Rory’s account of the boys supporting him after a difficult childhood, Flick was persuaded to question him about belonging to a gang.
Flick keeps seeing Rory in spite of more warnings from friends, and was shocked when he subsequently admitted to killing McGrath and disposing of the body.

When Flick found out that Cash and Eden were engaged, her spirits were raised, and she soon started planning a surprise beach engagement party. There, she and Tane engaged in an intense slow dance, giving the impression that their romance might be about to blossom again.
However, that was not to be. Tane had pledged to be there for her no matter what, and she thought back on that commitment that evening. Tane was asked to dance once more by Flick, but as she gave Cash one more, heartfelt nod across the dance floor, her eyesight became fuzzy and she passed out.
