Early in the upcoming year, Home and Away is expected to reorganize its cast, with several new cast members joining, a few possible exits, and a few returning favorites.
Every year, we have to bid farewell to some of our beloved favorites and welcome a host of new personalities to Summer Bay.
There haven’t been many changes to the main cast in 2024, but we have welcomed new regular character Abigail Fowler (Hailey Pinto) and sent a sad farewell to Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis).

Earlier in the year, we welcomed other guest characters, such as Valerie (Courtney Clarke), director Nelson (Mahesh Jadu), and well-known actress Stevie Marlow (Catherine Văn-Davies).
We have received Iluka (Dion Williams), the brother of Mali, Eden and Levi’s father Jimmy (Aaron Jeffery), Bronte (Stefanie Caccamo), and the River Boys, Rory (Joshua Orpin) and Dingo (Jk Kazzi), in more recent months.
Additionally, we’ve seen Tane (Ethan Browne) mentor Perri (Cantona Stewart), a troubled teenager who escaped the violent grasp of her abusive father Carl (Matthew Holmes).

On Wednesday, July 10, Perri made his television debut in Australia and was officially announced as a long-term guest. It is anticipated that his last episode will air sometime next week.
The pattern is expected to continue in 2025, with several new faces expected to visit Summer Bay’s shores in the new year, and a few longtime favorites possibly bidding farewell.
Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) and Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) are scheduled to make an unexpected return to Home and Away in 2025, as we previously disclosed this week.
After Amber found herself a new job thousands of miles away from Summer Bay, the couple moved to Queensland in March 2023 to be nearer to Dean’s ex-girlfriend Amber (Maddy Jevic) and son Jai (River Jarvis).
Earlier this year, Emily Weir’s character Mackenzie paid the two actors an off-screen visit. She told her brother Dean, trembling, that she was now seeing Levi (Tristan Gorey), who had left his devoted wife Imogen (Georgia Blizzard) to be with her.
Dean gave her his blessing despite her fears that he wouldn’t approve of the relationship.
The two will make a special appearance in 2025, the show has confirmed. This week, we learned that the special scenes will be shot in Queensland and feature the River Boys. Below is further information on that.

Just before they left, Ziggy gave birth to baby Izzy, but by the time we see the two again the following year, there might have been another Astoni-Thompson born.
“I think it’ll be good to see where Dean is now, where they’re at now with their babies living away in Queensland,” Patrick stated in an interview with The Daily Telegraph Confidential, implying that Dean and Ziggy may have given birth to a second child since we last saw them.
It’s anticipated that Xander Delaney will leave Summer Bay in 2019. For several months, fans have been speculating that actor Luke Van Os quit the program at the end of his three-year contract because he hasn’t been spotted filming at Palm Beach.

While many members of the group traveled during the recent break in filming, most have since returned to the site to continue shooting. But Luke Van Os still looks to be away from home. According to his Instagram stories, he has been traveling throughout South America for the past few months and is currently in Colombia.
Since Xander debuted in episode 7759, which debuted on Australian television on March 31, 2022, his last moments would probably
It appears that Rose (Kirsty Marillier), Xander’s sister, will be leaving Summer Bay in the new year as well.
A few weeks earlier, on October 9, Belinda Sinclair, a show fan, saw Kirsty Marillier filming what seemed to be Rose’s farewell scene. She then uploaded a video of the scene to the Home and Away Spoilers & Info Facebook group.

In the aforementioned incident, Rose was driving out of the bay when she was approached by Irene (Lynne McGranger), Kirby (Angelina Thomson), and Bree (Juliet Godwin), who forced her to halt.
Irene was heard saying, “There you go, love,” as she gave Rose a parting gift when she got out of the car.
After giving each of the three a hug, Rose got back in the car and drove out of the harbor.
“Go get ’em, Detective!” Kirby exclaims, drawing applause from the group. “We love you, drive safe,” they yell as Rose speeds off.

Remi (Adam Rowland) approaches Rose’s farewell party from behind and waves good-bye while yelling, “See ya, Rose.” Rose is leaving.
Rose is a Senior Constable at the Yabbie Creek Police Station right now. Would a promotion to Detective allow her to move to the city and follow her dreams?
In the April 4, 2022, Australian television broadcast of episode 7760, Rose arrives in Summer Bay one episode after her brother Xander.
The final group of River Boys, Rory and Dingo, were carried off after Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) decided it was his mission to bring the gang down, therefore we’ve only recently seen their backs.

Even though their leader is in jail, the other members of the gang haven’t been deterred, and it was recently announced that the Mangrove River police department was being dissolved and their resources redistributed after their loss to the lads.
The notorious Mangrove River gang is now scheduled to visit Summer Bay once more.
Actor Rob (@slumrob.mellyonai) shared a TikTok video of himself and fellow actor Adam Peck with the remark, “The Home and Away River Boys are back.”

On October 7, Rob shared another post saying, “It’s an early morning [sic] shoot at Summer Bay! The film crew is winning [sic]. I’m back, preparing with the costume department as one of The River Boys.
Patrick O’Connor has revealed in the past few days that the River Boys will make a comeback in the new plot for Dean and Ziggy.

“There’s a bit of River Boy action, there’s a bit of road trips with them,” Patrick disclosed in an interview with The Daily Telegraph Confidential.
The River Boys have been seen filming at Palm Beach in Sydney, which serves as a stand-in for Summer Bay. However, Ziggy and Dean’s cameo appearance is scheduled to take place in Northern Queensland, so it’s unclear how the two will connect.
A figure named Lacey, who is anticipated to appear on screens in the first half of next year, has been made public thanks to an audition tape that is freely accessible.

Lacey converses with a “bad boy” character at the audition who was recently sprung from jail after being involved in a scuffle. The character is quick to emphasize that he was simply “watching a brawl – there’s a big difference.”
When the individual off-screen inquires about if “the new shipment of parts came in,” Lacey says, “I dunno, do I look like your secretary?”
The male character seems to be organizing a race day, but things go wrong when one of the co-organizers gets into problems for striking a police officer. Next, Lacey gives her expertise.
Ellie most recently starred in the film Take My Hand. She has also starred in Seven’s A Place to Call Home and Network 10’s comedy-drama Puberty Blues.

Her character has not been described in any detail, and it is unknown at this time if she is a regular character or a guest.
Mandy Bishop’s portrayal of Dr. Liz Shaw is another fresh face. Once more, not much is known about the new character, but Mandy’s resume indicates that she worked with three different directors during filming, which suggests that her role will be featured in at least three episode blocks.
Mandy played the mother in 7TWO’s comedy-drama Drop Dead Weird from 2017 to 2019. She has also acted in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

After departing Summer Bay in June, Roo (Georgie Parker) joined his nephew Ryder (Lukas Radovich) aboard the cruise ship, where he has been employed since the bay’s closure in May 2022.
Roo’s exit signaled the start of a protracted hiatus for the character.
Georgie Parker began rehearsing for a new David Williamson play, The Great Divide, at Sydney’s Ensemble Theatre as soon as the filming concluded at the end of January. The play played from March to April.
Georgie suffered from scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, since she was 13 years old. As a result, she had her second hip replacement in six years in May.

In early June, Georgie posted on Instagram, saying, “I’m three weeks post op.” “My recuperation is progressing smoothly, and I’ve received outstanding assistance from my loved ones, my workplace, and my amazing friends.” I’m being patient right now while I recover so I can go back to work, sweetie.
We think Georgie is back on the show today, and she should be back on Australian screens before the year is up. Her return episodes should be on UK television in January or February.
In recent Australian episodes, Alf (Ray Meagher) has been struggling following a recent cardiac scare, in which Bree (Juliet Godwin) froze while attempting to save his life.

Soon after his health crisis, Alf traveled to Merimbula, but since returning to the bay, he has been unusually silent and depressed. Marilyn (Emily Symons) called Roo and asked her to shorten her trip and come back to Summer Bay to cheer her father up.
Similar to Irene, who hasn’t appeared on TV since early August, Lynne McGranger has had time off to prepare for and play the lead in the theater performance The Grandparents Club, which ran from May to August throughout Victoria, the ACT, and NSW.

Lynne had surgery to remove her thyroid gland shortly after the tour ended, but a recent Instagram post revealed that, following a few weeks of rest, she is back on set and will make a comeback in the first few months of 2019.
“Grateful to be back among these crazy people!” Ada Nicodemou and Shane Withington, who play Leah and John, respectively, are co-stars that she tagged in her post.
“It’s great to have you back, my lovely friend ❤️,” said Ada, and Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn, said, “Welcome back, Lynnie 🥳♥️.”
