Home and Away: Fans fear villainous newcomer may spell the end of an iconic couple’s relationship

Rachael Carpani, an experienced Australian actress, has made her Home and Away debut, and her role is already putting strain on the relationship of one famous pair.

The 44-year-old actress from McLeod’s Daughters portrays the evil Claudia, who made a splash when she moved to Summer Bay by threatening to sue Justin’s (James Stewart) garage for installing defective brakes on her vehicle.

Justin’s marriage to Leah—played by James Stewart and Ada Nicodemou, real-life lovers—has already been strained by her furious presence.

Social media has been used by fans to conjecture about what the firebrand persona might signify for the cherished character’s precarious marriage.

One admirer said, “I can see this lady is going to come between Justin and Leah’s marriage real quick.”

Another commenter questioned, “Is her character here about to break up Justin and Leah’s marriage?”

Another user speculated that Claudia, being sly, may urge Justin to do something really inappropriate in exchange for ending the lawsuit: “Does this suggest to anyone that this woman asks Justin to sleep with her in return for not suing?” someone asked.

“Please leave them happy, and I hope they’re not going to make him cheat on Leah,” said a fourth individual.

Others, however, begged the authors to at last offer the enduring characters some happy endings, considering all they had been through.

One person pleaded, “Can we have some more happy moments without any more crime, lying, and cheating?” Another person said, “Another con artist!” We require fresh narratives.

Rachael Carpani disclosed this week that fans of her character on Channel Seven’s drama would be surprised to learn that she is nothing like the kind Jodi she portrayed on McLeod’s Daughters.

“In spite of the fact that she comes across as a bit of a villain and is very judgmental, I think this will be a good exercise in portraying a very flawed human being.”

She is presented negatively and enters the room with a little attitude. Rachael answered, “As you would if your brakes failed and you ended up with a broken arm.”

On-screen couple James and Ada, 47, made their romance public after they were seen kissing on this year’s Anzac Day.

Ada revealed she is seeing her longtime co-star James at a recent Sunrise appearance, and she was all praise for the actor.

“Look, you know, our relationship remains the same whether or not [our romance] is publicized.” You know, we’re content. Ada’s smile spread across her face as she spoke, “We’re together.”

James is simply a phenomenal actor. Working with him is a pleasure. That hasn’t altered either. Yes, so it doesn’t really affect us whether it’s available or not.

It has been reported that James and Ada are thinking of moving in together already once their romance was made public.

Ada and James have been co-stars on Home and Away for seven years, having first met when filming the Australian drama Breakers in 1998.

Ada and James started dating just after Christmas of last year, when Ada ended her relationship with Adam Rigby, and in March, James finalized his divorce from Sarah Roberts.

When their affair became public, the couple was bombarded with ‘rift’ rumors from Home and Away cast members, but they have since denied the allegations.

Ray Meagher, Lynne McGranger, and Emily Symone are among the celebrities who are ‘keeping an eye’ on Ada, a source close to the actress told Woman’s Day earlier this year.
