For fans of Home and Away, what a year it’s been thus far! Scammers coming and going, Irene starting to drink again, and a classic kidnapping (or two?) have all been issues for them. I’m not able to keep up), among a host of other calamities that beg the issue of why anyone in their right mind would choose to call Summer Bay home.
People nevertheless manage to find the time and energy to fall in love despite all of the turmoil, provided they aren’t too busy running away from cults and kidnappers. Oh, how sweet.
Naturally, two of those individuals are Justin (James Stewart) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou), who were married earlier this year to the utter delight of their fans worldwide.
But since this is Home and Away, you know that the joy will only last until someone gets killed, bought off, or reveals who they really are with little regard for continuity or plot flaws.
The most recent plot point on the venerable soap opera centers on Rachael Carpani’s enigmatic new character, Claudia. After her automobile crashed and she arrived in Summer Bay, Justin was unintentionally involved in Claudia’s accident because his nephew Theo Poulos (Matt Evans) had maintained it at his garage before.
Justin agrees to meet with Claudia when she threatens him, and soon after, he starts skulking around and blowing off his wife.
Many fans expressed their concerns on social media, fearing that Claudia might put herself between Justin and Leah as a result of this dubious development. Now, Back to the Bay claims that the fans’ misgivings may have been well-founded.
You see, Justin has been driving Claudia about as her chauffeur so that she can still make all of her appointments because of her injured arm and her manipulative tendencies. Has Justin disclosed to Leah that he is acting in this manner? Ha ha ha—no, you idiot! That would not make sense.
Thus, Justin has been going through his “Driving Miss Daisy” phase and has even begun to become somewhat of a friend with Claudia after realizing how vital she is.
Nevertheless, once Claudia confides in Justin about the state of her marriage, he informs her that he is unable to support her any longer and that she would be on her own as soon as her arm heals. Dunzo.
James Stewart told TV Week that Justin “believes it’s the last time he has to help Claudia.” “He’s able to see where it ends.”
Justin, you silly lad, oh. You silly boy, you silly boy. Consequently, Claudia plans to entice him “to a remote cabin in what looks to be an attempt to seduce him,” rather than just leave him alone.
According to TV Week, Claudia is upset that Justin turns down her request for a kiss, so she does what any woman would do in that circumstance. He is left stuck at the cabin without any phone service after she abandons him, steals his car keys, and tosses them into the bush.
Fans have already voiced their opinions about this most recent fiasco, with many claiming that it was precisely what they had predicted.
In a Facebook forum, someone commented, “He shouldn’t be running around for her behind Leah’s back.”
“I knew she would do that, she doesn’t care that he’s married and only just got married, she wants him and she’ll cause more trouble to get him,” another person added.
“Justin needs to be honest with Leah. She’ll get it. However, concealing it from her heightens suspicions,” a third person said.
“I could have predicted that,” stated one more person.
“Knew that was going to happen.” Another thought was, “Justin is too generous.”
