Fans of Home and Away are alarmed by hints that Alf Stewart may die in a future storyline.
The Australian soap opera hinted at a dramatic health concern for the beloved character in an Instagram teaser video. The caption said, “Bree’s got Alf’s life in her hands.”
After a touching montage of Alf with his loved ones, the narrator said, “He’s always been the heart of the Bay.”
As soon as breathless Alf clutched his chest and collapsed to the ground, the film swiftly took a terrible turn. The narrator went on, “But it’s his heart that will send shockwaves through the Bay.”
It was announced that Bree Cameron will be in charge of the cherished character’s recuperation while he is in the hospital. But will the physician be able to save Alf, still reeling from Felicity Newman’s death?
Bree stood, stunned, watching Alf degenerate in the marketing video, which hinted at danger ahead.
Meanwhile, the prospect of Alf passing away devastated supporters in the comments. If he was killed off, some swore they would no longer watch the show.
This is not possible. I promise never to watch it again,” wrote one. “If Alf dies because of Bree’s incompetence I won’t watch ever again,” agreed for a moment.
Some viewers seemed unaffected by the impending ordeal, pointing out that in his 36 years on the show, Alf had faced many challenges. Nothing will end Alf’s life.
