Home And Away Icon Announces Shock Split From Husband After 5 Years

Star of Home and Away Sarah Roberts has disclosed that she and husband James Stewart are no longer together. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that her five-year marriage to the fellow Home and Away star was ending.

After getting married in 2019, Sarah, 39, who portrayed Willow Harris on the Australian soap opera, disclosed that she and James, 48, were divorcing. In a Stellar magazine interview, she stated, “I just want to say that I am divorced.”

“People grow apart sometimes, and that’s okay,” the actress continued. I eventually realized that I couldn’t develop in this specific relationship the way I wanted to.”

There had previously been speculation that Sarah and James, who portrays Justin Morgan in Home and Away, had broken up. When James failed to show up for Sarah’s October 2022 Melbourne film Wog Boys Forever debut, rumors started to circulate.

James was reportedly “nowhere to be seen on the red carpet” and had stopped following his wife’s Instagram account, according to a report published by The Daily Telegraph at the time. James’ representative refuted reports that he and Sarah had broken up at the time.

After beginning dating in 2017, James and Sarah made their engagement public the following year. The couple wed at Ireland’s Luttrellstown Castle in July 2019.

James was engaged to Jessica Marais before he wed Sarah. He proposed to her in 2010 after meeting her on the set of Packed to the Rafters in 2009. 2015 saw their breakup before they could walk down the aisle.

“Our relationship didn’t work out because I think hearts go in different directions eventually,” James stated after they broke up. James and his ex-fiance, Jessica, have an 11-year-old daughter named Scout.

The single father has been a cast member of Home and Away since 2016, while his ex-wife Sarah left the Australian soap opera in 2021 after arriving in 2017. She left to concentrate on her acting career.

In addition to Home and Away, Sarah has acted in the films Method, Footballer Wants a Wife, Wolf Like Me, and Scrublands. Over the years, the actress has played three distinct roles in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. She made her soap opera debut as Clare Henderson in 2010, then as Jess Walker in 2011, and finally as Sienna Matthews in 2014.

James, however, is well-known for his ten years as Alex Markham in Breakers and his nine years as Jake Barton in Packed to the Rafters. In 2016, he became a member of the Home and Away cast.
