For the past few weeks, Flick (Jacqui Purvis) has been in a passionate and fast-paced relationship with River Boy gang leader Rory Templeton (Joshua Orpin), which has caused friction with her brother Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), who has recently started working at the Mangrove River police station and has heard about all of their antics.
After hearing that his predecessor Franklin McGrath had crossed the River Boys and died, his body having been deposited in a nearby dam, Cash became especially worried. Even though they were the obvious suspects, until last week there was no tangible proof.

Cash was able to have Dingo’s automobile impounded when wildlife cam footage from the national park showed Dingo (JK Kazzi), Rory’s sidekick, driving the car close to the crime scene with an unknown person in the passenger seat.
Rory was reassured by Dingo that the car had been well cleaned, but he was concerned about a bag of mementos he had preserved, which contained McGrath’s police ID and the crowbar that had been used to dispose of him.

Rory insisted that Dingo get rid of it, so he did, telling Mali (Kyle Shilling) to handle it since he felt he owed them a favor.
When Mali eventually opened the bag and saw what was inside, she decided to take it back to the River Boy’s hangout.
Cash and other officers stormed the hangout at the same time as forensics had found a positive match for McGrath’s blood in Dingo’s car.

Dingo was taken into custody with the luggage in tow after it was discovered there.
Dingo’s lawyer is there when Cash and Jo (Ariadne Sgouros) interrogate him the following week, but he remains silent. He also refuses to give the identity of the other person he saw in his automobile.
With Flick chasing after him, Rory dashes outside to call a few of the boys after learning of the most recent events from Mali. Flick discovers that Cash had been telling the truth all along as Rory explains what has happened to her.

Rory is adamant about solving the problem, but Flick reminds him that unless Dingo is proven guilty, there would be no recourse for him.
But when Rory gives her a partial truth—that he assisted Dingo in getting rid of the body—Flick is upset.
Rory goes to the police station and declares he is going to give a statement in spite of Flick’s entreaties.

Let me guess, Cash says in jest. “You’re innocent, mate?”
Rory affirms that’s accurate. McGrath was killed by Dingo, not by him!
In the interrogation chamber, Rory divulges the truth about what transpired. McGrath had been stalking the River Boys nonstop, pushing Dingo to the limit.
Rory wasn’t there when the fight started, but McGrath was already unconscious when he got there. Rory decided to take out Dingo because he knew McGrath would recognize him.

Now that he’s sure Rory is guilty, Cash takes him into custody for the murder.
Later, Flick shows up at the police station, claiming to be innocent and requesting to see Rory.
It is then that Rory appears in handcuffs, his face emotionless.
Felicity urges him to deny the charges, but he ignores her and appears to accept his fate.

When Cash gets home that evening, Flick is enraged with him, but she is shocked to hear that Cash tells her that the weapon’s fingerprints support Rory’s account.
Remaining in denial, Flick assures Cash that she won’t abandon the man she loves. When Cash inquires about possible assistance, she clarifies that she wishes to see Rory.
When Cash returns Flick to the Mangrove River police station, Jo informs them that Rory will be transported in ten minutes.

Although Flick is happy to see Rory, he tells her not to come back and withdraws from her attempt to grip his hand across the table.
When Flick asks Rory if he killed “that man,” she begs him to be truthful with her.

With a simple “yes,” Rory responds and apologizes before encouraging Flick to move on from him.
Jo, on the other hand, gives Cash a sincere thank you, saying that even though he has been a pain during the inquiry, “we wouldn’t have gotten these guys if it weren’t for you.”

After being moved, Rory is subsequently brought out of the station. As a heartbroken Felicity looks on, he sends her one last look before permanently leaving her life.
In another scene in Summer Bay, Harper (Jessica Redmayne) unintentionally gives Xander (Luke Van Os) a severe shock when she makes her final pregnancy decision.

Except for her sister Dana (Ally Harris), Harper has kept her pregnancy—which was the consequence of a one-night fling with Tane (Ethan Browne)—a secret thus far. She is still debating whether or not to carry it through.
Harper is still considering her options for next week, but she is struggling especially with morning sickness.

Dana makes an excuse to go home with Harper when Xander invites her to lunch. Dana is unable to decline Xander’s offer to prepare lunch at the Beach House.
Harper acquired a tonne of pregnancy-related pills from the drugstore that morning, and Xander notices a bottle of folic acid tablets when Dana unintentionally knocks Harper’s bag off the kitchen counter.

Dana, covering for Harper without giving it much thought, asserts that they are her own and that, with all of her night hours and lifeguarding responsibilities, she’s only trying to stay healthy.
Harper tells Dana that she’s still not sure if she wants to have a child, especially after their own difficult upbringing with their addict parents. The three of them go to Salt later on, when Xander begins his shift.

Dana makes the decision to abstain from alcohol for the entire day in support of her elder sister. Dana then says that they’re on a cleanse and would rather have two OJs when Xander brings over their customary order of two red wines.
Later that night, Harper decides what to do with the baby, knowing that Dana would support her if Tane decided he didn’t want any part of it. She intends to retain the child.

Dana is overjoyed, but as they continue to enumerate the things they have to look forward to—morning sickness being just the beginning—they have no idea that Xander is clearing a neighboring table and listening to everything they say.
All of the events of the day suddenly make sense to him, and later, as he stands stunned behind the bar, he announces to Rose (Kirsty Marillier) that he is going to be a father!
