After filing accusations of domestic abuse against her father Carl (Matthew Holmes), Perri (Cantona Stewart) appeared in court last week.

Especially after getting an anonymous note instructing him to keep quiet, Perri was frightened about testifying against his father.
On the eve of the trial, he was on the verge of backing out until Tane (Ethan Browne) reassured him that if all went according to plan, he would never have to face his father again.

But in an unexpected change of events, Carl was declared innocent and allowed to leave. Tane missed the trial after Harper (Jessica Redmayne) was admitted to the hospital, which added to Perri’s distress.
Rose started the process of obtaining a provisional AVO (Apprehended Violence Order) against Carl, which would bar him from seeing his son anywhere. This order would only be in place briefly, and Perri would have to appear in court again if he wanted it to be permanent.

Later, after they had moved back to their home on Saxon Avenue, Tane assured Perri that his father wouldn’t dare approach him because they lived with a police officer and there was an AVO in place. However, they were unaware that Carl was waiting for them outside the house, observing them as they entered.
After that, Carl went to the Surf Club, where he quickly spoke with the Summer Bay Fit employees to obtain a copy of the class schedule and to find out that Tane wouldn’t be at the gym until after lunch.

Later, Carl went back to the Surf Club, knowing that his son was about to start working, and he confronted Perri, telling him that filing charges and getting an AVO had been a horrible mistake.
Perri attempted to caution Carl that Tane, who has assumed parental duties since Perri’s arrival in Summer Bay, is someone he could never defeat in a battle.

But Carl shot back, saying, “There are plenty of ways to skin a cat,” indicating that, well, accidents do happen on a regular basis. Humans are ran over, and brake lines may be severed. You simply never know.

For the remainder of the week, Perri watched Tane closely, fearing that his father might come back and exact revenge on his new protector.
Perri knows his father means business this week when he comes home to discover a knife sliced into the kitchen bench and a copy of the AVO under it.

He makes the decision that it is time to leave Summer Bay and go into hiding, but Carl is waiting to pounce and is lurking in the house, so he won’t have time to do so.
Cantona Stewart describes the most recent development to TV Week, saying, “The adrenaline rushes through [Perri’s] body so fast, he goes straight into fight or flight mode.” He is aware that he has caused his father significant hardships by this point. He is aware of his father’s abilities. He is seriously endangered.
After grabbing his son and dragging him into the backyard, Carl pushes his head into the swimming pool.

Cantona goes on, “Carl knows the rage coursing through his veins and he has the power in his hands.” “There’s no getting out of this situation; Perri is in big trouble.”
Tane makes it home safely, thank goodness, but will he be able to calm down an enraged Carl?
Can Tane even take a chance on intervening, considering how much he still needs to avoid getting into trouble with the law following his recent court case where he was sentenced to seven years in community service for kidnapping baby Poppy?
