This week on Australia’s Home and Away, Perri’s attorney calls a stunning witness on his behalf in an effort to keep him out of jail as his court date approaches.
Less than three weeks earlier, Perri (Cantona Stewart) killed his father in the Parata home’s garden, putting an end to the years of torture his father had inflicted on him since he was a little child.
Perri had come to Summer Bay as a part of Tane’s (Ethan Browne) program for at-risk adolescents, which gave the teenagers free boot camps and unrestricted access to Summer Bay Fit’s equipment.

Tane quickly grew close to the newcomer, and Perri ultimately confided in him, saying that his father frequently coerced him into doing a variety of unlawful tasks on his behalf.
He clarified that he had taken the brunt of years of resentment and that Perri knew that Carl would receive another thrashing if he ever returned home in dissatisfaction. He consequently felt under pressure to follow instructions.

Perri wanted to change his life because he realized that if he continued to do his dad’s dirty work for him, he would soon face prison time rather than juvie, and his 18th birthday was quickly coming.
After Tane returned to the home he’d spent the majority of his time in Summer Bay, Perri ended up leaving his father and living with Tane, first at the farmhouse with Mac (Emily Weir) and Levi (Tristan Gorey), and then later on Saxon Avenue with Cash (Nicholas Cartwright).

After eventually tracking his son down to Summer Bay, Perri’s father Carl (Matthew Holmes) staged a dramatic confrontation in which he provoked Tane into violating the rules of his community sentence by threatening to beat him.

Perri was obliged to testify against his father in court a few weeks after he asked Rose (Kirsty Marillier) to file charges against Carl for the years of domestic abuse due to the latter’s menacing behavior.
When the judge ultimately declared Carl not guilty and let him go, Perri began to worry that he might return to exact revenge.
Carl was promptly given an AVO by Rose, barring him from seeing his son.

Not unexpectedly, he ignored that, and a few days later he was back in Summer Bay, cornering Perri in the surf club and demanding to go with him to complete one last assignment.
Again, Perri refused and assured his father that Tane had his back and that he didn’t need to be afraid of him. But Carl merely shot back, saying, “There are plenty of ways to skin a cat,” implying that, well, accidents do happen all the time. Humans are ran over, and brake lines may be severed. You simply never know.

A few days later, Perri returned home to discover the AVO paperwork underneath a knife stabbed into a block on the kitchen counter, which Carl had also managed to locate. When he turned back, his father’s ominous presence was waiting for him.
Things took a terrible turn when Perri refused to go with his dad once more. Carl pulled Perri into the garden and kept his son’s head under water while yelling at him to get out of town.
Later that night, after Tane couldn’t reach Perri, he came back to Saxon Avenue and saw the outline of a body floating in the pool. He hurried to the water’s edge, thinking it was Perri, only to hear her voice behind him.

“I was not serious. I murdered my father.
Tane was forced to phone the police, but Perri had disappeared by the time they got there. He found Matt Evans’ character Theo, who consented to conceal him at Summer Bay Auto.
But as a manhunt began, Theo realized how much difficulty he could get into by harboring a wanted person, so he informed Tane where Perri was hiding. Eventually, Tane was able to persuade Perri to turn himself in.
Perri explained to Rose that his father must have struck his head during the altercation, but Carl’s body had water in its lungs when the autopsy was done, suggesting that Carl had drowned and putting Perri at fault.

Rose then went ahead and charged Perri with murder, even though Perri was probably acting in self-defense due to Carl’s violent record. The adolescent has been spending the last few weeks getting ready for his trial.
When his trial day arrives this week, things don’t seem good. Since no one was present to see what transpired, Perri’s word stands in opposition to the prosecution. Because Perri’s dad was acquitted the last time he appeared before a court, she has little faith in the legal system.

Once more, he concludes that leaving is the best course of action. According to TV Week, actor Cantona Stewart says, “he’s worried he’ll be sentenced to life in prison.”
Tane must act as the voice of reason, and he succeeds in persuading Perri to remain and contest the accusations.

“Tane is like an older brother or father figure to Perri; he’s so lucky to have him by his side,” Cantona says. “The only other person in his life who exhibits true love, which is unfamiliar to him,”
Tane and Rose are asked to testify, attempting to persuade the judge and jury of Perri’s innocence by providing evidence of Carl’s past mistreatment of his kid. But given the paucity of evidence, Perri is probably going to be found guilty.

Then, when Jane, Perri’s attorney (Charlotte Friels), unexpectedly calls a surprise witness to the stand, she surprises everyone, including Perri.
“It’s huge and unexpected, to put it nicely,” Cantona continues, withholding their identity.
Who knows what Jane is up to, and will they be able to rescue the day?
