Home And Away Star Ben Unwin’s ‘cursed’ Death At 41 After Leaving Limelight Behind

The most well-known star of Home and very, Ben Unwin, passed very tragically at the age of 41.

For a number of years, his character made intermittent appearances on the show. In 1996, he made his on-screen debut as Jesse McGregor, a part created especially for him.

Prior to that, from 1993 to 1995, he held three other temporary positions.

After four years as Jesse on Home and Away, he finally made a comeback in 2002 before permanently departing in 2005.

Ben received a nomination for the 1997 Australian TV Logie Awards’ Most Popular New Talent category.

His character was well-known for his liaisons with a number of women in Summer Bay, such as Tempany Deckert’s character Selina Cook, Kimberley Cooper’s character Gypsy Nash, and Ada Nicodemou’s character Leah Patterson-Baker.

He had originally left because he had been imprisoned for setting fire to the neighborhood bait store. In 2005, Jesse was incarcerated once more after being found guilty of killing Chloe Richards (Kristin Wright), who was killed by his car during a hit-and-run.

The 4,000th episode of Home and Away featured the automobile collision stunt. At the time, it was said that Ben wished to seek chances in the United States.

For a while, Ben was employed in the music business. For Culture Club, he created music videos for songs like “I Just Wanna Be Loved” and Chumbawamba’s big smash, “Tubthumping.”

Later on, though, he decided to become a lawyer. Ben worked as a senior solicitor in Newcastle, New South Wales, after earning his law degree.

Ben passed away on August 14, 2019, at the age of 41. His body was discovered near the base of Minyon Falls in the Whian Whian State Conservation Area in New South Wales.

“Police attended Minyon Falls, Whian Whian, responding to a concern for welfare,” the New South Wales police stated in a statement provided to Yahoo Lifestyle at the time.

A 41-year-old man’s body was found. No suspicion has been placed on the death.

At the time, a local told Daily Mail Australia that local Aboriginal tribes think the 100-meter-tall Minon Falls in Whian Whian is “cursed” and contains “bad spirits.”

“I just woke up to the tragic news of Ben’s passing, my heart goes out to his family,” remarked Ada Nicodemou, his former co-star, after his death.
