Actress Jacqui Purvis of Home and Away posted a farewell message on social media following the airing of her final moments as Felicity Newman in Australia.
Following her shocking collapse last week, Felicity was pronounced brain dead and it was discovered that she had a cerebral aneurism. In this week’s episode, her family members painfully decide to remove her life support. Her foster father Gary will make a reappearance in later funeral scenes.
Purvis uploaded a compilation video to her Instagram feed that included numerous shots of her having fun on set with the actors and crew.
She captioned it, saying, “What a life!!” I’m grateful to @homeandaway for a fantastic three years. Had a fantastic time.
This is only a small sample of my affection for the actors and crew; there are many names missing.
“Too many people deserve recognition, but [Ethan Browne] deserves special recognition for his contribution to the lovely love story. And thanks to the fans for welcoming Flick into your homes and for your unwavering support. I sincerely hope she made you as happy as she made me.
Actor Tane Parata, Felicity’s ex-husband, left a comment on the site with the following message: “What a journey indeed!” You breathed life into ‘Tanicity’ and filled the bay with a roar of energy! We appreciate you giving it to all of us. My friend, you will be greatly missed.
