Home and Away star Ray Meagher includes heartwarming detail in his suit for 2024 Logie Awards

Ray Meagher, star of Home and Away, showed off his heart at the Logie Awards on Sunday night at The Star in Sydney.

The 80-year-old veteran actor looked stunning in a black-and-white tuxedo that had a heartwarming and unexpected twist.

Meagher had a yellow badge for Dancing With The Black Dog, a mental health charity, attached to the lapel of his blazer.

‘It’s OK To Say You Don’t Feel OK’ is the charity’s slogan, while the image of a black dog dancing on its hindlegs serves as its emblem. Both appear on the badges.

Meagher enthusiastically displayed his affection for the non-profit organization based in Melbourne while posing up a storm at the VIP event. He appeared to be in a good mood.

He was beaming with joy as he posed with Emily Symons and Georgie Parker, his co-stars, in front of the Graham Kennedy Award nomination for Most Popular New Talent, which Tristan Gorey received for his work on Home and Away.

Earlier in the evening, Larry Emdur led the celebrity winners in winning his first-ever Logie Award and the Gold at the 2024 ceremony.

The 59-year-old TV personality has been a familiar face on Australian television since she was 19 years old, yet she has never taken home a prize at the esteemed awards ceremony.

In a historic triumph, Larry won his first-ever Logies and was named the most popular presenter. He also won the Bert Newton Award.

He cleaned up on the big night and went on to win the coveted Gold Logie, which is an amazing feat.

As the host of The Morning Show took the stage at the Sydney Logies presentation, the audience erupted in laughter, mocking the numerous times his shows have been canceled over the years and his extensive history of dubious hosting assignments.

The audience laughed as he said, “I just remembered I did say if I won this, I’d get all the nominees initials tattooed on my a**e live tomorrow morning.”

Larry kept his word the next morning when he appeared on The Morning Show and got a tattoo on his rear.

Larry won the Bert Newton Award earlier in the evening, defeating newcomer Robert Irwin as well as TV veterans Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Sonia Kruger, and Tony Armstrong.
