Home and Away to kill off show regular in tragic storyline

Next week, in the UK, Home and Away will feature Felicity Newman’s heartbreaking farewell moments.

During a joyous celebration at Salt, the well-known character has an unexpected health scare and ultimately passes away.

The episode of Channel 5 that airs this Friday, September 27, finishes on a worrisome note as Felicity passes out at the surprise engagement party she planned for her brother Cash and closest friend Eden Fowler.

Felicity is taken to the hospital in a critical condition and needs emergency surgery while her physicians identify a potentially fatal brain aneurysm.

Felicity’s loved ones are left to wait it out in the hospital once she is discharged from the operation.

While Cash, Eden, and Tane Parata make their visits and fervently wish for better, things take a frightening turn when the monitors begin to bleep and an ambulance is called back.

Later, Bree Cameron tells Cash and Eden that Felicity has bled again and that surgery is not an option.

Bree relays the news that the second bleed may have caused brain death during one of the most trying times she has ever experienced at work.

Together, Bree and Levi Fowler conduct a number of meticulous neurological examinations, which in the end confirm this diagnosis because Felicity exhibits no reaction.

Bree is faced with the difficult task of talking to Cash about shutting off the life support devices after it is certain that Felicity will never wake up.

With the airing of these sequences in Australia last month, Jacqui Purvis’s three-year run as Felicity comes to an end.

Jacqui has stated that she left Home and Away voluntarily in order to pursue other acting chances.

Jacqui gave this explanation in an interview with Yahoo Australia last month: “I’ve had an amazing time on the show. a few of my greatest years ever. Nevertheless, I had to decide to go and face the risk because I was certain that I desired a career abroad.”
