As part of Tane’s plan for problematic adolescents, Perri Hayes (Cantona Stewart) came in Summer Bay a few weeks ago, and now his father Carl (Matthew Holmes) is set to follow.
It was soon evident that Perri had had a difficult childhood and that his connection with his father had deteriorated following the sudden loss of his mother.

Perri ultimately admitted to Tane that his father had been abusing him physically and coercing him into doing different unlawful tasks for him for years. His father gave him the instruction to break into a residence and take items to be penned, which led to his most recent stint in juvenile detention.
A few weeks ago, Perri’s father ordered him to take some tools. This was Perri’s first time saying no, and as punishment, his arm was burned with cigarettes.
This week, while searching for his son, Perri’s father Carl makes an unexpected appearance in Summer Bay.

When he gets at the gym, he tells Perri that he’s just stopping by to catch up, but it soon becomes apparent that he has other plans: he wants Perri to assist him with one more task.
Carl threatens to go after Tane if he doesn’t come home with him right away when Perri declines.
It’s unclear exactly what Carl wants Perri to accomplish. Will Perri do something foolish out of concern for his father, and what will Tane’s reaction be if he finds out?
In a teaser that ran following Monday’s broadcast, a distraught Tane confronts Carl angrily while Harper (Jessica Redmayne) and Rose (Kirsty Marillier) try to break them apart.
Harper pulls Tane away and tells him he has too much to lose while Carl implores him to hit him.
Harper finally opens up to Tane about the secret she’s been keeping for weeks after an outburst of rage. After Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) passing, he asks her what he could possibly still be losing, to which she abruptly responds, “I’m pregnant, you’re gonna be a dad.”

This week also saw the return of Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) foster father, Gary (Peter Phelps), to Summer Bay, portrayed by Cash (Nicholas Cartwright).
Gary first made an appearance in late 2022, just before Felicity and Tane’s wedding, and has since made multiple visits throughout the previous two years.
His final public appearance was in April 2023, when Felicity paid him a visit while she recovered from the vehicle accident she and Eden had sustained en route to Tane and her first, tragically cancelled wedding day.

Growing up, Felicity never got along well with her foster father, in part because she had always denied the truth about how their biological father had passed away.
Despite their unwavering affection for her, Flick never saw Gary and Katherine as parents and fled the house as soon as she was old enough.
Since Flick had declined to invite Gary to Felicity’s wedding to Tane, Cash was eager to mend their relationship prior to Felicity’s nuptials.

Feeling guilty of the way she had treated Gary and Katherine, Flick had avoided talking to him since moving out of her house. Nevertheless, she was able to reconcile with him at last, and the two eventually became close.
After Felicity had a brain aneurysm a week ago, Cash ultimately had to make the devastating decision to turn off her life support system in Monday’s episode.

Gary returns to Summer Bay later this week for the funeral, assisting with the coffin of his foster daughter.
To the dismay of Felicity’s acquaintances, Cash determines that only her family should attend the funeral.

Nicholas Cartwright told TV Week, “I don’t think Cash has quite processed everything, and a big funeral would be too much.”
Mackenzie (Emily Weir) and Justin (James Stewart) consequently start organizing a “Festival of Felicity” so that the other residents of Summer Bay can bid their dear friend farewell.

Although not much has been formally revealed about the new character, Claudia will “make waves in the Morgan household,” which comprises of Justin, his wife Leah (Ada Nicodemou), and her nephew Theo (Matt Evans), according to an interview with the Australian Daily Telegraph.

Claudia will enter the Morgans’ lives, threatening Justin with a “I could sue you for everything you’ve got” statement in an upcoming episode teaser.
Earlier in the year, we made the announcement that Rachael Carpani would be joining Home and Away. We confirmed that Rachael’s resume had been updated to include her future appearance as Claudia Salini in our May roundup of upcoming arrivals and departures.

The role that made Carpani famous was that of Jodi Fountain McLeod on McLeod’s Daughters.
Throughout eight seasons of the Nine Network series, she portrayed Jodi, for which she received a 2007 Gold Logie nomination. In more recent times, she starred in Ben Affleck’s film The Way Back and the comedy drama Seven comedy play 800 Words.

Rachael played Miranda, a diner waitress, in Home and Away in a brief role prior to being well-known in McLeod’s Daughters in 2001. She had additionally made uncredited cameos in the past, most notably in 1997 as a part of Saul Bennett’s commune.
Rachael stated that Louise Bowes, the Network Script Executive of Home and Away and a former playwright on McLeod’s Daughters, “was at the helm of designing and creating Claudia,” which Rachael feels made her character “far more real,” in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.

“There was a realness to this character, even though we’re talking about a fun soap opera where people get kidnapped, things blow up, and crazy things happen,” she said to the outlet.
Rachael is not the only former cast member of McLeod’s Daughters to have visited Summer Bay lately; Aaron Jeffery recently made a brief cameo as Jimmy Fowler, the father of Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) and Levi (Tristan Gorey).
