Star of Home and Away Ada Nicodemou has opened up on how her recent injury has changed her life.
The actor, who portrays Leah Patterson in the soap opera, suffered a severe sneeze fit last year that rendered him bedridden. Speaking on a Bounce Forward podcast episode, Nicodemou described how the excruciating injury compelled her to drastically alter her exercise routine.

“Don’t laugh, but about a year and a half ago, I sneezed and got hurt,” she said to host and personal trainer Tiff Hall.
“I sneezed while changing in my dressing room at 5 a.m. before heading to the gym, which resulted in a disc perforation.” I was hurting so badly!”
Nicodemou disclosed that she has a numb foot on one side that will “probably never heal properly” following surgery. “I think I’ve damaged a nerve,” she continued.
Nicodemou continued, saying that she “really made me rethink a lot of things I was doing” and that she loves doing out.

“I was an exercise machine; I would spin, box, and do other similar exercises. Later, I started lifting huge weights. I swear now that I will never again perform a deadlift.
“It’s freaked me out because I’ve got two discs that were damaged,” she stated. “I’m just too scared!”
The actor finds alternative methods to work out even if her numb foot prevents her from running. She clarified that she walks, performs Pilates, and lifts modest weights to stay in shape.
