Home and Away’s Cash Newman to face backlash in shooting story

In upcoming scenes, Cash Newman from Home and Away will deal with a significant reaction as the soap opera’s tragic shooting tale unfolds.

In scenes that will appear this week, a gunman opens fire on the beach, sending Summer Bay into lockdown. Tragically, one resident will perish in the ensuing panic.

The dramatic scenario, which centers on Cash and movie actress Stevie Marlow, has been further revealed by TV Week.

Bodyguard Cash hopes things have calmed down after saving Stevie’s life when her psychotic stalker Sidney attempted to kill her. However, he is taken aback to learn that Sidney is no longer being detained by his security supervisors.

With Stevie filming new project All Our Tomorrows on the beach, Cash is worried about how exposed she might be to another attack by her stalker. Even though Stevie is already in danger, he dashes off to find her.

Sidney has already tracked down his target and is hiding in a sand dune, armed with a gun. He soon closes down on Stevie, not worrying about the other performers, staff and onlookers who could all wind up getting hurt, too.

The incident that begins on the beach puts Stevie’s life in danger once more, and her new love interest Remi Carter is horrified. It appears that Cash will soon face Remi’s wrath. “Remi blames Cash,” actor Adam Rowland, who plays Remi, told TV Week. “It was his job to protect Stevie. His only thoughts are if Stevie is OK.” However, Tane Parata, who is also in danger, will also meet his demise when he runs into Sidney while speaking to his estranged wife Felicity Newman over the phone.

Hearing the fight play out over the phone, horrified Felicity rushes to the beach to find Tane, and ends up in the danger zone herself. With Tane and Felicity both in peril, will they make it out of the situation alive?

It has been confirmed that, by the time the tragedy is done, one Summer Bay resident will have lost their life, with Theo Poulos actor Matt Evans having disclosed that “a stranger will come into the Bay and someone will die”.

A preview for this week’s episodes has revealed that additional characters who could be in severe danger include Mackenzie Booth, Dana Matheson, Leah Patterson and Alf Stewart – with Alf seen pleading for aid and imploring passers-by to run and hide.
