Coronation Street viewers were left suspicious on Monday night’s episode as one mystery person was seen filming Roy Cropper after he was wrongly arrested over missing Lauren Bolton
On Monday night, viewers of Coronation Street became suspicious upon noticing a “dodgy” newcomer.
Roy Cropper was mistakenly detained on Friday night on suspicion of killing Lauren Bolton, a former employee, only a short time ago. Fans of the soap opera will remember that earlier this year, troubled youngster Lauren abruptly departed the cobbles, leaving love interest Bobby worried when he discovered Lauren’s apartment unlocked and nowhere to be found.
Fans of soap operas never saw Lauren go, and judging by her quick disappearance, it appears that she told no one close to her about her intention to leave Weatherfield save Roy. Bobby called the police to report Lauren missing, and Roy, known for his kindness, has come under scrutiny, particularly after he was seen innocently cleaning Lauren’s apartment, which led others to believe he was guilty.
The popular ITV soap opera provided additional details about Lauren on Monday night when Max Turner heard David and Shona Platt discussing the possibility that Lauren’s dad’s far-right organization is connected to her disappearance. It will be remembered by viewers that Lauren initially came to Weatherfield in 2022 after assisting in Max’s recruitment to an extreme far-right gang.

Max had feelings for Lauren at first, but when the truth about the group’s goals became known, their relationship quickly cooled off. Along with Max, she had been forced into the whole operation by her dad, one of the group’s leaders. Lauren has made an effort to change her life since then before going missing.
Afterwards on Monday’s show, Max made the decision to pay Lauren’s father, Reece, a covert visit in jail. He interrogated Reece about where his daughter was and unintentionally revealed that Roy had been falsely accused of killing Lauren. This led to two shady individuals holding Roy captive in his café as they questioned him.
The shady men insisted that Roy tell them what he had done with Lauren because it was soon discovered that they were actually friends with Lauren’s father, Reece. Fortunately, Nick Tilsley and Carla Connor arrived in time to save Roy, who maintained insisting he was innocent, and sent the goons packing. Carla later went with Roy to the police station and they both made statements there.
A unknown man was seen filming Roy in the café and then taking pictures of him in the police station, which alarmed the supporters who were watching the scenes with a keen eye. Using social media, people quickly made assumptions about who he might be and even suggested that he and Lauren might be connected.
