NOT FUNNY ‘Beyond Laughable!’ Fume Coronation Street Fans As They Sink Claws Into Bobby’s ‘stupid And Creepy’ Hunt For Lauren

Roy Cropper finds himself in even more trouble with the police in upcoming episodes.

Those who follow Coronation Street have taken a keen interest in Bobby Crawford’s’stupid and sinister’ search for Lauren Bolton.

After discovering Lauren’s apartment unlocked and her absence from recent episodes, Jack Carroll’s character became worried.

Despite Lauren having a secret boyfriend, they had been becoming closer before her abrupt disappearance.

But in the previous few episodes, Bobby’s mistrust of Roy Cropper—the last person to see Lauren—has only risen.

Bobby discovered Roy tidying Lauren’s apartment while he naively attempted to assist her, but Bobby has perceived this as something more darker.

Future scenes will see Roy imprisoned in connection with Lauren’s abduction, but viewers of Coronation Street are incensed at Bobby for his approach to solving the mystery.

One person posted on X, the former Twitter platform: “Bobby is such a strange guy. Lauren is no longer here. What now? The obnoxious, desperate fool only had a two-second acquaintance with her before going on a search for her?

“Both Lauren & Bobby are v annoying so frankly this stupid stretched SL is beyond laughable.”

“Creepy Bobby has known Lauren for all of five minutes!” said another, echoing the sentiment.

Officer, I’m putting it to you that when he tried to get his filthy hands on her, she said, “Hell no!” and he struck her with his walking frame! He appears to be trying to frame Roy and knows a lot of things!”

“The writers of #Corrie are absolutely shocking!” a another viewer commented. #FramingRoy, just get Bobby out of the way!”

A fourth, in the meantime, posted: “I apologize, but Bobby of all people labeling Roy a weirdo? What about internet accounts, rather than directing the Police towards him? Unidentified Boyfriend? The far-right faction?

“They have a much higher chance of hurting her than Roy. When Bethany begins to inquire, Lauren is absent? By coincidence?”

The teasers for this week’s episode showed that Roy unintentionally attracts additional attention and suspicion to himself after the cops catch him using a shovel and waste bags.

In the episode, Nina is horrified to learn that some amateur investigators have been searching the bat roost site in an attempt to uncover information that might implicate Roy in Lauren’s death.

To make sure everything is alright, Roy packs shovels and bin bags into the boot of his car and drives to the roost site.

However, DS Swain is waiting for him to take him to the station as soon as he gets back.
