Craig’s manipulation continues to spiral…
EastEnders spoilers follow for today’s episode featuring Craig, which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer ahead of its television broadcast.
Craig takes his cruel blackmail plot against Denzel to a new level in today’s EastEnders, but his appalling behaviour isn’t the only thing attracting viewers’ attention.
Instead, fans have noticed a rather amusing blunder during his scenes with Amy, leaving them baffled as to how nobody seemed to catch the mistake.
Craig makes Denzel’s life a nightmare
After sending Amy nude photos last week, Denzel is now seriously regretting his actions. Craig discovered the pictures while looking through Amy’s phone and secretly sent them to himself without her knowledge.
Jealous of the growing closeness between Amy and Denzel, Craig has begun blackmailing him, demanding £1,000 and threatening to share the images with his entire family if he doesn’t pay up.
Realising that the pictures could cause a huge scandal if they were shared online, Denzel desperately tries to find the money. He confronts Amy, who claims that her phone was stolen, although she knows perfectly well that Craig is behind the blackmail demands.
When Kim and Howie return from their honeymoon, they surprise Denzel with a signet ring for his 18th birthday. Delighted with the gift, he tells them how much he loves it. However, knowing he has no other choice, he decides to pawn the ring and use the money to pay off his ‘mystery’ blackmailer.
Amy is horrified when Denzel tells her about his plan, prompting her to confront Craig over his cruel actions. However, Craig once again manages to manipulate Amy into thinking that he is doing the right thing, causing her to back down and abandon the argument.
Denzel becomes desperate
Later, Denzel sells the signet ring and hands over the money to the blackmailer. Thinking that his troubles are finally behind him, he heads to his party feeling more relaxed. When he and Amy arrive late, his family teases them about spending time together, but they quickly brush off the suggestion.
However, what they fail to notice is Craig watching the celebrations from a distance, growing increasingly furious.
As everyone gathers to sing Happy Birthday to Denzel, Amy notices Craig hiding in the bushes and approaches him to confront him. Craig admits that he cannot stand seeing her with her ex-boyfriend, leading to an argument between them.
Amy eventually returns to the party, but she feels uncomfortable knowing that Craig is keeping an eye on her. Driven by jealousy, Craig takes his cruelty even further and sends the nude photos to Denzel’s family, despite already receiving the blackmail money.
EastEnders fans notice a blunder involving Craig
Fed up with his manipulation and mind games, fans are eagerly waiting for someone to realise that Craig is grooming Amy. However, while they wait for the truth to come out, another detail has caught their attention.
Viewers have pointed out that Craig’s attempt to hide in the bushes during today’s episode was laughable. Considering he was only a few metres away from Jack and the rest of the family, fans cannot understand how nobody managed to spot him.
“How did nobody see Craig? He wasn’t exactly being subtle with his lurking,” one fan pointed out on Reddit.
Another viewer agreed, writing: “I know it was absolutely ridiculous – I can’t un-see it!”
“How can Jack not see his daughter being groomed in the bushes?” another fan questioned. Meanwhile, someone else added: “Craig is evil. How no one spotted him in the bushes doing a full Homer Simpson, I do not know!”
A further viewer shared their thoughts, saying: “Craig just casually chilling in the park and Amy walking over to talk to him with Jack right there. How convenient that nobody saw!”
With Craig’s increasingly disturbing behaviour raising serious concerns, fans are clearly hoping that his actions will soon be exposed.
For now, however, it is his rather unsuccessful attempt to hide in plain sight that has become the main talking point among viewers.
