BBC bosses have reportedly been left in a state of panic after a contestant’s talkative friend revealed the finalists of The Celebrity Traitors, prompting an urgent effort to prevent further spoilers from spreading.

The BBC is reportedly facing a major spoiler scare after a contestant’s friend allegedly revealed the names of the finalists on The Celebrity Traitors. The gossip has reportedly sent show bosses into crisis mode as they desperately try to protect the series’ closely guarded secrets.
Filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands and hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the hugely popular show attracted an impressive 9.6 million overnight viewers for its Friday, October 9 episode. All the celebrities taking part, including Maya Jama, James Acaster, Professor Hannah Fry and Richard E. Grant, are said to have signed strict non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), promising not to reveal how the competition ends.
However, an insider claimed that a close friend of one of the contestants had started sharing information, turning the identities of the finalists into a major talking point at showbiz parties. A source told The Sun: “Because of the leak, who makes the final is now a hot topic at showbiz parties.”

The insider claimed that details about how certain contestants perform have also begun circulating. The situation has reportedly been made worse by another source hinting at which celebrities have been scheduled for interviews surrounding the final. Bosses are said to be keen to prevent the leaked information from reaching online gossip forums and social media platforms, where viewers could easily discover the spoilers.
The source added that the BBC is hoping anyone who comes across the information or hears about it through friends will keep quiet and help preserve the secrets of the castle.
They also explained that only a limited number of people would know the hidden details of The Celebrity Traitors, including members of the production team, the celebrities who took part in the competition, and potentially their close relatives and friends.

Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) were reportedly introduced to keep the competition’s results strictly confidential, with EastEnders actor Ross Kemp joking that the legal document was “longer than the Bayeux Tapestry”. However, comedian Joe Lycett admitted that he had openly broken the rules of his agreement, according to The Sun.
He confessed: “They say, ‘Don’t tell anyone you’re doing it’, but if you search the word ‘Traitors’ in my WhatsApp, I told everyone! I was telling Uber drivers.”
The reported leak comes as viewers eagerly follow the show’s dramatic developments, including the unexpected decision to bring James Acaster and Professor Hannah Fry into the Traitors’ turret. BBC executives are now said to be deeply concerned that online spoilers could spoil the big reveal of their hugely successful series.
