Sarah Platt is currently standing trial in Coronation Street

Coronation Street fans have been left confused after spotting a detail about Sarah Platt during the courtroom scenes. The soap favourite, played by Tina O’Brien, has experienced several dramatic months on the cobbles.
Sarah is currently behind bars after killing Theo Silverton, played by James Cartwright, in self-defence. Back in April this year, she attacked Theo with a metal pole while they were on top of the scaffolding, causing him to fall over the edge and crash to the ground below.
Following the incident, Sarah turned to her former flame and friend Gary Windass, played by Mikey North, for help covering up the crime. Despite her boyfriend Kit Green’s attempts to help her escape the consequences, Sarah was eventually arrested on suspicion of murdering Theo.

Sarah has since been sent to prison, where she has been going through a difficult time, and this week, her trial finally got underway. Her family members, Bethany (Lucy Fallon), David (Jack P. Shepherd) and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), all made their way to court to watch as Sarah stood in the dock.
During the proceedings, the prosecution barrister told the jury that Sarah had attacked Theo to stand up for her best friend, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), after discovering the abuse he had suffered at the hands of his husband.

Theo’s ex-wife, Danielle (Natalie Anderson), also took to the stand and gave evidence against Sarah, criticising her actions. Although Sarah maintained that she had acted in self-defence, the case did not appear to be going in her favour.
In Thursday’s episode (October 15), the trial continued, with Todd finally taking the stand. Despite almost failing to turn up, he eventually arrived at court and spoke openly about the abuse he had endured at the hands of Theo.

Despite all the drama unfolding in court, viewers have been distracted by one particular detail. On a Facebook fan page dedicated to Coronation Street, fans highlighted how immaculate Sarah’s hair and nails looked, despite her being in prison.
One viewer commented: “A French manicure on hands and feet in prison for Sarah! Plus her highlights are perfect! Oh please…” Another agreed, adding: “It’s laughable isn’t it.”
A third fan also questioned her appearance, writing: “Why has Sarah got a full face of makeup on? Has she rung up a MUA?”
Sharing similar thoughts, another viewer added: “I noticed the hand and toenails manicure.”
