Kat has reached her lowest point, and the drama is only just beginning…

EastEnders viewers have been left shocked by today’s emotional episode, with many praising the soap for finally addressing Kat’s grief directly.
The episode sees the Slater family come together to support Kat as she struggles to cope. However, she has fallen into a deep depression, and nothing Alfie says or does appears to help her.
Kat lashes out
Lily, Jasmine and Jean also make an effort to support Kat, but when they suggest small things that could help lift her mood, she ends up lashing out at them.
Even Eve struggles to reach Kat, despite doing everything she can to help. Kat soon begins hurting those closest to her with cruel remarks and cutting comments, hoping they will experience some of the pain she is going through.
Later, Kat decides to follow Alfie’s suggestion to get some fresh air. However, she takes a bottle of wine with her and returns home drunk. Everyone is left stunned when she smashes the bottle on the floor before demanding that Alfie cleans up the mess.
Phil steps in to save Kat
Kat then grabs some vodka and heads outside again. This time, Phil finds her and attempts to persuade her to change her ways. He takes the alcohol away from her and brings her back to his house. However, Kat is so upset and agitated that even Phil struggles to get through to her.
When she eventually returns home, the situation gets even worse. She insults everyone in her family, flirts with strangers at the pub in front of Alfie, and even tells Jasmine that she should have been the one to die.
As Kat continues to push everyone away, Alfie can only watch helplessly as she spirals further out of control.
However, when Kat later lashes out at Tommy and pushes him over, Alfie finally reaches his breaking point. He shouts at her to go upstairs and asks Jean to take the children to Patrick’s house.
The episode ends with Alfie locking Kat inside the living room and telling her that they need to resolve the situation.
But will he manage to reach Kat before it’s too late?

Today’s EastEnders episode has left viewers stunned, with many praising it as one of the soap’s best episodes in recent times.
“I genuinely think that was the best episode we’ve had in ages,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
Another viewer agreed, admitting they didn’t want the episode to end. “What an episode! I couldn’t believe it when the doof doof went off! Nooo!”
“After that duff duff, I’m counting down the seconds until tomorrow’s episode!” another fan commented, clearly eager to see what happens next.
A fourth viewer highlighted how little we have seen of Kat since Zoe’s death, saying: “Finally! This Kat meltdown is what we have all been waiting for!”
