What Happens to Bethany in Coronation Street Today?
As Bethany prepares to visit Sarah in prison, Kit makes sure that Jodie’s recording of their night together has been deleted. Bethany confirms that the recording is gone, leaving Kit relieved that there is no evidence left behind.
Kit reminds Bethany that he does not want Sarah to find out about his cancer. However, Bethany insists that her mum deserves to know the truth, but Kit refuses to change his mind.
Later, Ryan takes Bethany out for breakfast before her prison visit. He praises her for doing such a great job of keeping things together at home while Sarah is behind bars. Bethany feels guilty, knowing that her actions would deeply hurt her mum if the truth ever came out.
At the prison, Bethany tries her best to prevent Todd from telling Sarah about Kit’s cancer. Sarah, meanwhile, believes her ex is refusing to act as a character witness because he expects her to be found guilty. Todd attempts to reassure her, but despite Bethany’s warnings, he eventually reveals the truth.
Sarah is understandably stunned to learn that the man she nearly married is battling cancer. As Bethany and Todd respond to her questions, Bethany suddenly begins to feel lightheaded.
Although she insists that she simply stood up too quickly, it becomes increasingly clear that Bethany may be hiding something from those around her.
Bethany Finds Out She Is Pregnant
Later that evening, Bethany is in the bathroom when Kit knocks on the door. She tells him she is just getting out of the shower, and he explains that he is heading out for a while.
After Kit leaves, Bethany steps out of the bathroom holding a pregnancy test. She anxiously waits for the result to appear, just as Ryan calls her.
Ryan suggests spending the evening together watching a film and eating pizza. However, Bethany notices the lines on the pregnancy test, confirming that she is expecting a baby.
She tells Ryan not to come over because she wants to spend the evening alone. As she realises that her life has changed forever, a tear rolls down her cheek, leaving her facing an uncertain future.

Many viewers had already predicted Bethany’s pregnancy, as unexpected pregnancies are a familiar twist in soap operas, particularly when a character becomes involved with someone they should not be.
