Hey, General Hospital fans! We’ve just discovered that newcomer Jude (Wil Traval) is not only connected to the Jacks family but is also the son of Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roché), just as many of us suspected. Jude has now left Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) completely stunned by claiming that baby Phoebe Wilson (Lucia and Luna Creighton) is his daughter. And one thing is becoming clear: he has no intention of giving up without a fight.

Today, we’re looking at the shocking developments that could happen next, now that Jude has set his sights on the little girl adopted by Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn. It looks like a major custody battle could soon be on the cards.

General Hospital: Jude Confirms He Is Jerry’s Son

We recently watched Jude arrive at the Quartermaine mansion, demanding to see his daughter and insisting that baby Phoebe belongs to him. Brook Lynn was understandably stunned, as were Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). However, the situation became even more shocking when Jude introduced himself as a member of the Jacks family and revealed that Jerry is his father.

Jason and Tracy immediately became suspicious, knowing that Jerry is one of the most dangerous villains around. His reputation has made him both hated and feared throughout Port Charles. Jason wasted no time telling Jude to leave. Although Jude walked away without causing a scene, he made it clear to Brook Lynn that this would not be the last time she saw him.

Jude then headed straight to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) law office, explaining that he needed legal representation. He told Alexis that someone had recommended her as the best lawyer for his situation. Initially pleased by the compliment, Alexis was horrified when she asked who had sent him and discovered that the recommendation had come from his father, Jerry Jacks.

Now that Jude is making his presence known around Port Charles and openly declaring that he intends to fight for Phoebe, Brook Lynn, Chase and Tracy are unlikely to sit back and do nothing. They will undoubtedly do everything possible to protect the little girl they consider part of their family.

Meanwhile, several other residents may rally behind the Quartermaines, especially given Jude’s connection to Jerry. With his father’s notorious reputation working against him, Jude could find himself facing plenty of opposition.

Let’s take a closer look at the dramatic baby battle that could be about to unfold on General Hospital.

Why Alexis Cannot Take Jude’s Case on General Hospital

The first development to watch is Jude’s meeting with Alexis, because she definitely cannot represent him. Jude is about to discover why Alexis is unable to become his lawyer. The reason is that she handled Phoebe’s adoption, with Brook Lynn and Chase serving as her clients.

This creates an obvious conflict of interest, meaning Alexis has no way of taking Jude on as a client. She may explain that a DNA test was carried out and confirmed the biological father’s identity before he signed away his parental rights.

However, Jude is likely to stand his ground and insist that he is Phoebe’s father. I suspect he will leave Alexis’s office furious, especially if she refuses to reveal the identity of the other man who was previously identified as the baby’s biological father.

Jude could storm out feeling angry and frustrated, determined to find another way to launch his fight for Phoebe without Alexis representing him. And even if there were no conflict of interest, it seems unlikely that Alexis would willingly help Jerry Jacks’ son.

General Hospital: Alexis Alerts the Quartermaines

Next, I suspect Alexis will head straight to the Quartermaine mansion to warn the family about Jude’s claims. She will likely speak with Brook Lynn and Chase, while Tracy and Jason may also join the discussion.

Jude’s allegations could remind Alexis of how suspicious Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) behaved during Phoebe’s adoption process. He was particularly determined that the adoption should remain closed, which could now become an important detail.

Alexis may explain to Brook Lynn and Chase that she originally had no reason to question the man who presented himself as Phoebe’s biological father. After all, he had passed a DNA test.

However, Tracy may become furious and accuse Alexis of allowing the situation to happen. I suspect Tracy will push Alexis to reveal Ethan’s involvement, especially considering their history.

Tracy has a close relationship with Ethan and even saved his life in the past. She purchased him at an illegal auction organised by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who intended to sell Ethan to people who wanted him dead.

It remains unclear whether Nathan Dean will return as Ethan for this storyline. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tracy decides to track him down and demand some answers.

Jude Finds Another Lawyer on GH

Another development could see Jude hiring a different attorney to help him fight for Phoebe. He will need fresh DNA evidence to establish that he is genuinely the baby’s biological father.

I doubt Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) would agree to represent Jude, particularly because Brook Lynn has such a close connection with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

However, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) could potentially take on the case. Another possibility would be the return of Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), which would certainly make things interesting, especially given Martin’s dislike of Tracy.

Jude’s allegations could give his new lawyer enough grounds to request further DNA testing to establish his paternity. Once the results are confirmed, his attorney might also file a motion challenging Phoebe’s adoption.

While the legal situation is being sorted out, Jude could potentially seek visitation rights if he manages to prove that he is Phoebe’s biological father.

General Hospital: Tracy Goes Looking for Ethan

I also expect Tracy to begin searching for Ethan because she will want answers about what really happened during Phoebe’s adoption.

We’ve heard that Tracy is expected to leave town soon, so perhaps this could be the reason for her upcoming departure. After speaking with Alexis, she may decide that finding Ethan is the only way to uncover the truth.

One possibility is that Ethan somehow obtained Jerry’s DNA from a cold-case evidence box at the Port Charles Police Department. I’m not entirely sure whether Jude had ever visited Port Charles before, but there could be more to the DNA mystery than we’ve been told.

Soap operas have explored confusing DNA results involving fathers and sons before, particularly when both men could potentially be connected to a child’s paternity. That may not be exactly what’s happening here, but Ethan could have manipulated the testing process in some way.

Alternatively, there may be something belonging to Jude in an old police evidence file, especially if Jerry had something connected to his son when he was arrested.

Of course, General Hospital could also abandon that particular explanation, especially since the storyline may have changed following Wil Traval’s casting.

Ultimately, Tracy may return with some important answers after tracking down Ethan. We already know that Ethan is terrified of Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), who previously beat him up. However, Jude could be an even more frightening person for him to face.

Tracy might finally uncover the truth about Phoebe’s biological father, but there’s also a possibility that she returns without Ethan and with even more questions than answers.

GH Shocker: Serena Has Damaging Information About Jude

Additionally, if our source’s information is correct, Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) may also have some dirt on Jude that she could be willing to reveal in exchange for something. According to our source, Jude is the man who ran off with Serena’s inheritance. When Serena first returned to town, viewers may remember her telling Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) that a dishonest man had cheated her out of her inheritance.

If this turns out to be true, it certainly sounds like something Jerry Jacks would be involved in. Should Serena share what she knows with Lucy, her mother could see an opportunity to use that information against Jude.

Lucy might try to use Serena’s knowledge as leverage to get what she wants, which is keeping Deception out of ELQ. This could create another complicated situation as Jude’s past begins catching up with him.

General Hospital: Josslyn Takes Her Concerns to the WSB

One more possibility is that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) could involve the WSB after Jason visits her and reveals that her previously unknown cousin, Jude, has arrived in Port Charles.

I suspect Josslyn will stand firmly behind Brook Lynn and Chase. After all, Phoebe has a loving home with two parents who adore her, and she is already part of the Quartermaine family.

Jude will probably approach Josslyn and explain that Phoebe is his daughter. He may insist that he believes they will develop a connection and make it clear that he has no intention of walking away from his child.

Following that conversation, Josslyn could decide to inform WSB Chief William Baines (Alimi Ballard) that her previously unknown cousin has appeared in town.

Baines may already know about Jude because of JJ, and Jerry’s history with the agency will certainly make the situation more concerning. After all, Jerry is still a fugitive being pursued by the WSB.

In a recent interview, Wil Traval, who portrays Jude, also hinted that his character’s relationship with Josslyn will be filled with tension. That certainly suggests their family connection could become a complicated one.

GH: Jerry’s Troubled History Could Haunt Port Charles

The situation surrounding Jude is already becoming incredibly complicated, and his arrival could have consequences for almost everyone in Port Charles. His father, Jerry, terrorised the town for years, and simply mentioning his name has already created plenty of tension.

Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Jerry was responsible for Alan Quartermaine’s (Stuart Damon) death. He also had several violent confrontations with Jason, even shooting him on multiple occasions.

Jerry previously plotted to murder Sonny, and he was also connected to the incident in which Sonny’s young son, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), was shot in the head and left in a coma.

Considering everything Jerry has done, bringing his son into Port Charles is bound to upset plenty of people.

The Cassadines, Quartermaines, Sonny, Jason, Alexis and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) could all find themselves affected by Jude’s arrival.

Honestly, this storyline is already shaping up to be explosive, and Jude’s connection to Jerry could make things even more dramatic. There’s clearly plenty of trouble ahead for the residents of Port Charles!
