Hey, The Young and the Restless fans! We’ve got some exciting new spoilers for next week. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is about to make a surprising discovery, while Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) has a major outburst about babies. This happens after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) becomes increasingly focused on his former fiancée and her newborn daughter, Ruby. It looks like there’s plenty of drama coming our way.
Meanwhile, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) receives an unexpected offer from Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), and a new romance is set to create some tension. Here’s the latest The Young and the Restless preview for the week of November 2, which also marks the first full week of November sweeps.
The Young and the Restless: Nate and Stephanie Make Their Relationship Public
Let’s begin with the new couple causing a stir. Viewers already know that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) has been romantically involved with Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox). However, the pair are now ready to let everyone see their relationship in public.
By the end of this week, Nate and Stephanie are spending time together at Society, where they join Abby and Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) for a meal.
The group is celebrating Nate’s return to the medical profession. Stephanie reveals that everyone at the hospital is delighted to have him back. Nate, meanwhile, gives Stephanie credit for helping make his return possible, saying that none of it would have happened without her.
He also explains that getting back into surgery will take some time, as he needs to regain his certification and complete several other requirements before returning to the operating room.
Things then become more romantic when Nate takes Stephanie’s hand and kisses it. His affectionate gesture catches everyone’s attention, particularly Abby’s.
However, Abby doesn’t exactly choose her words carefully. She brings up the fact that Stephanie and Nate’s mother were close friends for many years. The awkward comment quickly changes the atmosphere, prompting the others to steer the conversation in a different direction.
Once Nate and Stephanie leave, Abby turns to Lily and Devon and asks why they never told her that the two were dating.
The conversation then shifts to whether their romance could create a professional conflict of interest, considering Stephanie is now Nate’s boss. Their relationship could become a much bigger talking point as the situation develops.
Y&R Spoilers: A New Doctor Creates Tension
This issue is definitely going to surface this week, as The Young and the Restless spoilers show Nate and Stephanie sharing a hug at the hospital when a new character, Dr. Andrew Bishop (Fareed Ward), suddenly walks in.
Dr. Bishop tells Nate that he has heard rumours about his return. He then makes another comment, suggesting that Nate wasted no time getting comfortable again.
Nate clearly isn’t impressed by the remarks and responds with an icy glare.
Although Nate and Stephanie make a lovely couple, their developing romance could create serious complications in their professional lives. After all, dating someone who happens to be your boss can easily lead to workplace drama.
Young and the Restless: Devon Gives Lily and Cane His Blessing
Meanwhile, towards the end of this week, Lily admits that she misses Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). Devon then catches her off guard by revealing that he has realised life is too short to keep holding grudges.
He tells Lily that if she and Cane are still in love, he has no problem with them getting back together. Lily is delighted by his unexpected support, and the two share a warm hug.
Cane also reaches out to Lily with some important news. He tells her that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is doing well following her operation and that the surgery was successful. With everything going smoothly, Cane reveals that he is preparing to return home.
Naturally, Lily is thrilled to hear the news.
Y&R Spoilers: Diane Makes Lily an Unexpected Offer
Looking ahead to next week, Cane will be back in Genoa City and will come across Lily enjoying coffee with Diane Jenkins at Crimson Lights.
Cane is surprised to see them together and jokingly comments that he didn’t realise Lily and Diane were coffee buddies. Lily explains that this is actually their first time meeting for coffee.
According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Diane has arranged the meeting because she wants to present Lily with an opportunity she describes as a once-in-a-lifetime proposition.
So, what exactly does Diane have in mind?
Lily appears quite pleased with the offer, which makes me wonder whether it could involve a business arrangement. Perhaps Jabot and Winters could be considering some kind of collaboration.
It’s always interesting when characters who don’t usually spend much time together suddenly find themselves sharing a storyline.
Of course, Lily has never been particularly fond of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so she and Diane may have plenty to discuss. And now that Cane has rebuilt his relationship with the Abbotts, Diane may not have much reason to interfere with Lily’s romance.
Young and the Restless: Devon and Lily Appear in a Beyond the Gates Crossover
However, Cane may not get much time with Lily just yet. Other Wednesday, November 4 spoilers reveal that Lily and Devon will be leaving Genoa City for a special crossover appearance on Beyond the Gates.
This will mark Bryton James’s third appearance on the sister soap, while it will be Christel Khalil’s first.
Devon’s connection to the Dupree family comes through Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), one of the show’s leading characters, who is recording an album under Devon’s record label.
Anita and her husband, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), will also spend time talking with Lily and Devon because they shared a close relationship with their late father, Neil Winters.
The previous crossover between the two soaps was quite a memorable event. Victor, Diane, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Devon and Abby all appeared during a storyline involving a fundraising event that was struck by a tornado.
It was certainly an exciting crossover, and this latest visit should bring some more interesting moments.
Y&R Spoilers: Chelsea’s Explosive Baby Outburst
Now, let’s turn to the baby drama and the emotional bombshells coming next week.
Chelsea will be at Society having a conversation with Abby when she begins venting her frustrations about the possibility of having another child.
Viewers may remember that Adam asked Chelsea several months ago whether she would consider having another baby together. At the time, she didn’t seem particularly excited about the suggestion.
Now, Adam has become increasingly focused on Ruby, which could bring the subject of expanding their family back into the conversation.
Chelsea is expected to have quite an outburst as she explains her concerns to Abby. She points out that she would be the one carrying the baby and dealing with sleepless nights, indigestion and morning sickness, rather than Adam.
However, Chelsea also understands that Adam is going through a difficult emotional period after helping deliver Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby girl, Ruby.
The experience has brought back painful memories of baby Ava, the little girl Adam and Sally tragically lost because of complications during childbirth.
Those heartbreaking memories could be influencing Adam’s growing attachment to Ruby, leaving Chelsea worried about where his feelings are heading.
The Young and the Restless: Nick Becomes Concerned About Adam
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is also becoming increasingly concerned about his brother.
Earlier this week, Adam confides in Nick that he feels an unusually strong connection to Ruby and believes he needs to protect her.
Adam also thinks Sally is struggling to adjust to motherhood. He points out that she couldn’t even burp Ruby, making him question whether the newborn is getting the care she needs.
Nick tries to reassure him, insisting that Ruby is in perfectly good hands.
Adam, however, isn’t convinced. He is particularly upset that Billy left Sally and Ruby behind to travel to London.
Nick reminds his brother that Billy had a genuine reason for leaving, as his mother, Jill, was seriously ill and needed him.
Trying to prevent Adam from getting involved in another complicated situation, Nick offers some sensible advice and tells him not to go looking for trouble. He encourages Adam to leave the situation alone.
But knowing Adam, following that advice may be easier said than done.
Could his growing concern for Ruby explain why he brings up the possibility of having another baby with Chelsea? And will Chelsea’s emotional reaction create even more problems between them?
It looks like Adam’s fixation on Ruby could lead to some major relationship drama next week on The Young and the Restless.

Young and the Restless Shocker: Could Abby Be Expecting a Baby?
While Chelsea is complaining about all the pregnancy-related symptoms she would have to endure, Abby suddenly has a surprising thought. She looks shocked and asks, “Oh my God, could I be pregnant?”
If that turns out to be true, it would be something of a medical miracle for Abby, considering she was previously told that she couldn’t carry a pregnancy.
Viewers may remember that when Abby was married to Stitch Rayburn, she was expecting their child. However, Stitch’s troublesome son, Max, set up a tripwire, causing Abby to tumble down the stairs at the GCAC.
Tragically, Abby lost the baby following the accident and was later informed that she would no longer be able to carry a child herself.
That was why Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) became the surrogate for Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). They used Devon’s sperm to conceive the baby because Chance had also been diagnosed as infertile.
Therefore, the possibility of Abby carrying Devon’s baby herself would be a huge development.
The Young and the Restless: Roxanne’s Return Could Cause Marriage Problems
However, Abby potentially being pregnant with Devon’s child could also create some complications, especially with recent casting news suggesting that trouble may be ahead for their marriage.
A recast Roxanne Barrington is set to arrive during November sweeps. This marks the first casting decision made by new head writers Jamie Giddens and Dan O’Connor. Tatyana Ali previously played the character, but Tetona Jackson has now taken over the role.
Roxanne’s return could be particularly significant because she and Devon were romantically involved years ago. Their relationship ended after Devon cheated on her, something that has caused problems in his past relationships.
Could the new writers be bringing Roxanne back to create another romantic complication for Devon? Perhaps he could find himself tempted to cheat on Abby with his former flame.
If Abby really is pregnant, Devon reconnecting with Roxanne would be especially devastating timing for their marriage.
Meanwhile, the new head writers’ episodes are scheduled to begin airing on Wednesday, November 11, just as November sweeps drama starts gaining momentum.
Could Abby’s possible pregnancy and Roxanne’s return be connected to a major storyline twist for Devon and Abby? Fans may have plenty of surprises ahead on The Young and the Restless!
