Jodie Ramsey has been missing from screens since the dramatic gun confrontation at Number 8
Coronation Street fans believe they have figured out where Jodie Ramsey has been hiding, and the discovery could spell trouble for her sister, Shona. Viewers of the ITV soap will know that Jodie, played by Olivia Frances Brown, first appeared earlier this year during the Corriedale crossover.
During her debut, she was being held captive by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), but she eventually managed to escape. It was later revealed that Jodie was Shona Platt’s (Julia Goulding) long-lost sister, who had been keeping several dark secrets.
Jodie has recently been causing chaos at Number 8, attempting to push Shona out of the picture in recent episodes. Her scheming initially involved playing random baby noises around the house to make Shona believe she was hearing things.
That wasn’t the end of Jodie’s scheming, as she went on to swap her father Doug’s (Steve Evets) bipolar medication shortly before he was admitted to hospital again. Rather than admitting what she had done, Jodie blamed Shona’s stepdaughter, Lily (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner), prompting Shona to spend a night at the Chariot Square Hotel.
The situation became even more dramatic when David (Jack P. Shepherd) and Shona joined forces to expose Jodie’s hatred towards her sister. Jodie soon pulled a gun on the pair, but during a struggle with Shona, she was shot in the stomach.
The police and an ambulance were quickly called to the scene, while David and Shona maintained that they hadn’t been inside the house when Jodie was shot. Jodie later warned the couple that she was still in control and could turn against them at any moment.
Shona later went back to the hospital, only to discover that her sister had discharged herself. Jodie has not been seen on screen since, leaving viewers wondering where she could be hiding.
Several fans believe they have figured out Jodie’s possible hiding place, and the theory could spell trouble for Shona. Many soap fans suspect that Jodie is keeping out of sight in her father Doug’s empty camper van, which is parked just down the road from Number 8.
“I wanted to ask if anyone thinks that Jodie is hiding in her dad’s camper van as Shona did not lock the door just closed it,” one viewer wrote on a Facebook fan page.
Another fan agreed, adding: “I thought that as well!”
A third viewer commented: “So if she’s hiding there she can still keep an eye on them and can enter the house when they are not there or when Shona is home alone to either mess with her head or Lily’s.”
Another fan shared their approval of the theory, writing: “I never thought of that – good one!”
Meanwhile, the drama is set to continue for the Platt family, as Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) trial has now started following the death of her abusive partner, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). Will Sarah finally be able to return home after spending months behind bars? Viewers will have to wait and see.
